Well it’s bad that he hired jerkoff….but since he is a pitcher he may be more likely to take an early extension……worked out well for Lance and Christian.

You never know when that elbow or shoulder might get you.

:joy::joy:I’m assuming by jerkoff, you mean Boras?

Yeah, he’d be crazy to turn down a long term deal at this point. Too many things can happen to a pitcher.

I think 6-120 would do it….thats fair considering you are buying out 3+ years.

Nice start by Blanco- ‘Stros leading the league with 12 quality starts.

If they can stay around .500 the schedule softens up a bit in May.

Could definitely see taking that type of contract now for the security. However if he gets to FA and he continues to show he’s an elite pitcher he’ll be looking at 7-8 yrs (@ 30-35 mil per).

Your numbers are on par for sure….but as a pitcher that’s a big gamble….i hope something gets done.

The way pitchers are going down with TJ I definitely can see getting the security asap. Maybe there’s a compromise. Instead of buying up three yrs of his FA they sign him to a 5 yr deal. Buys up the three arb yrs and two yrs of FA.

Happy Hader is pitching better this year but mad we didn’t get this version last year.

We won’t win squat without a top-tier Hader. Conversely, a top-tier Hader is worth two whole places in the playoff race.

Joe has got to stop using him in games we are up 5+ runs….pitching him in non-save situations is dumb.

This is insane…

A LOT less contact this year.

215 IP with only 161 hits….that alone is nuts.

And striking out more than one per inning….amazing.

Imagine if they were hitting.

Whatever caused last year’s issues in the early innings of games, I’m glad they figured that out. It seems like that skewed everyone’s numbers in the wrong direction.

On this glorious Friday we are only .5 game out of FIRST place fellas!

That’s pretty amazing considering our struggles at the plate.

I don’t know that we’ll pitch this well the whole year, but if we do, and guys like Alvarez, Walker, and Diaz eventually come around offensively, it could be a very nice year.

Eventually didn’t happen in KC Friday night. Shutout by the Royals. :crying_cat_face:

That happens. The Royals have historically given us fits at crucial times.

2-0 loss again today. The pitching is there. Offense no show, so far, this series.
