Houston Astros Baseball & MLB Discussions

It looks like it’s a more direct path to the ball which allows you an extra tenth to see the ball……probably not the exact math but you get my point.

He looks like an All-Star….more compact/more direct path to the ball also tend to help guys stay out of any prolonged slump.

Astros should have locked him and Hunter Brown up last year.

That last hit was impressive. He never would have touched that pitch last year.

Little tidbit.

Astros are getting absolutely nothing out of 2b.

Surely Dana knows he has to make a move soon….it would be his 2nd taste of MLB and I have a feeling he would really put up some numbers.

Absolutely no way he does not perform better than Rodgers/Dubon.

Did not see it posted anywhere but Christian Javier threw off the mound for the first time this past weekend. Still a ways to go but that is encouraging news.

On the other hand, there’s talk that Wesneski may be done for the season.

Yep.

Have not heard anything of JP France either.

I wonder how long they’ll stash Whitley at Sugar Land making “rehab appearances.”

Can’t be too long….he pitched well the other day and was up to 99mph.

His stuff is way nastier than tomato can Dubin.

Taylor Scott was designated for assignment for the guy that started last night. Will he get another start or go back down and Whitley takes that roster spot ?

Whitley has to come up soon….but then he can’t go back down….and guys that throw 99 don’t grow on trees.

I would send Dubin down and rotate Gusto, Blubaugh and Gordon up and down in that 6th spot until one of them grabs it….Blubaugh has the best stuff….but who knows what they decide….

And Spencer Arrighetti should be getting close to a rehab assignment.

Watch them get only 2 or 3 hits tonight against DeGrom.

So far both pitchers cruising

1-0 loss.

It was a great game to watch. I love pitching duels.

I would rather we win the game.
