Looking at the standings the Astros are 3.5 back of the Tigers and 4 back of the Blue Jays.
22 games remaining.
If the boys can put together a streak they could catch one of them….the Tigers and Jays have tough schedules remaining….

Not backing up a throw home
Not stepping off when told to by the catcher then crossing up the catcher on purpose.
He is costing himself a lot of money when 99.9% of players are always on the best behavior locked in to get the bag on their next deal.
This team was suspect on offense before the season started and have been since 2022.

Astros pitching just isn’t there. Yankees came in and put up some runs in their own backyard.
They’re just like t-sips. They’re so used to having blown calls go their way they’ve come to expect it. When a couple of bad calls don’t go their way, their inner spoiled brat emerges.

Zach Cole has been crushing since moving up to AAA….got some swing and miss but in baseball today, who doesn’t.
He was a college draftee a few years ago and has gotten over some injuries.
Think of Jake Meyers—— with EASY power.
Should be on the big club next year….he is an everyday type guy….let him play and the numbers will shock you….not a 5th OF’er type guy.

And Colton Gordon is not a big league pitcher….he does not have the stuff needed to get guys out consistently.
Dana knows this but he keeps playing it cheap….they knew damn well they were gonna need a starter for tonight….why in the world not give Ullola the start? He does in fact have the stuff to win at this level.
And if he gets rocked his first time out? So fuc-ing what….at least we give it a roll….we know what Gordon is gonna do….play soft toss with the GD Rangers.
