Bregman has contracted the Abreu hitting virus.
Send him to West Palm Beach to work out his batting stroke.

Sounds like a great place to retire.
Pedro Leon at Sugar Land
.309, 6 HR, 36 RBI, 12 SB, .946 OPS
Get Myers out of here.
Let’s see an OF of Tucker, Loperfido, and Leon….we add some pop, athleticism and speed on the bases without sacrificing defense.
I firmly believe that OF would put up significantly better numbers than the current one.
I have seen enough now to know that Espada is afraid to hurt feelings.
If he wasn’t then Bregman would be hitting in the bottom 1/3 of the lineup and Loperfido would be playing everyday.
Heck, send Bregman to West Palm and let Dubon and Amaya man 3rd base while he’s gone.
Oh wait, Bregman would never put the team first and himself 2nd.
If Brown has any sense at all the second Bregman has any sustained success he needs to trade him.
This was my fear with promoting him from bench coach. I hope he learns without having to get fired, but he’s going to figure it out one way or another.
It’s not panicking or giving up on players to pull them out of the lineup when they’re not producing at all. It’s his job.
Per the lineup card for today - Bregman is batting 6th! Perhaps Espada is lurking here?
If he’ll at least take some walks, maybe he can set the table for the better hitters below him in the lineup.
He really needs to just sit out a game or two. He’s approaching Maldonado numbers.
Need a dandy from Spencer A.
Last night was a rough one.
Watched 'Stros during breaks of 2OT NY Rangers game.
T7th Yanks drop the ball as Singleton is going into 2nd. I switch to NHL.
I catch back up he’s out. How?
So big and stiff his slide just stops before the base.
Yanks have time to drop it and still get an easy tag.
Sheesh.
Also
France w a major shoulder injury at Suga.
Out till fall if back.
Our pitching injuries are contagious.
France didn’t look good when he was healthy. Is this really a loss?
France maybe a loss as a former MLB guy in a trade.
Astros front office looking lost these days or Dana B has to say that?
" What if they sell?"
Brown is completely out of his league, I fear.
Every time he speaks I hear “amateur hour” in my head. It’s not the decisions it’s the delivery.
Here’s how Click would have answered that: “We need to turn it around. We’ve had a lot of injuries but that excuse doesn’t help us. We’ll look at things as we head into the ASB. We still think we can win but it needs to happen quickly.”
But just saying, “we’re too good.”
Lol. Is Pez writing his press releases?
He better start learning to envision some unpleasant things before the actual vision is being out of a job.
Soto keeps this up - he’s gonna get a massive contract
Can we please take some pitches ?
'Stros out of it early… AGAIN.
Lucky its just 1-5. Might as well leave him in.
I watch a lot of NBA playoffs in real time when Spencer pitches.
Any Knicks v Indiana threads in the basketball forum ?
Astros taking base running tips from the Coogs.
Maybe if we suck bad enough we can get our next Third Baseman—-Charlie Condon please.
Astros hit to many solo HRs.
And Loperfido will put up better numbers than Singleton and Meyers if you would put him in the damn lineup and leave him here!
Arrighetti has potential but needs time……The red headed Tomato Can is pure Garbage.
Send this guy out already……its bad enough having to watch him pitch, but having to look at him between pitches is almost as bad.
Welp, for the first time in 8 years we have a summer of just taking in Major League Baseball. This team just doesn’t have it. It has been a long time but, it is what it is.
Since the 2015 Coog football season, the fall has been defined by Astros baseball. I
