Houston Astros Baseball & MLB Discussions

I think the key is for the most people possible ragging on a player on this board. I did my part saying Yordan would be on the IL before the ASB.

You guys did sone nifty reverse JuJu on Wade.
I think I might have said Altuve should retire two weeks ago, so I’ll take credit for the HR.

I don’t think we’ve ragged enough on Burrows for the voodoo to set. Maybe someone to predict Brown will be in the IL til August.

We’ve done a damm good job on Imai; he should make the All-Star team with the trash we talked on him and Dana, the executive of the year

Yeah, our reverse voodoo on Imai made him throw a no-hitter.

Lolololol

You think we could get Correa healed-up faster if we started calling him, “ol iron legs?”

Or maybe I could trash Dana for another month and he could land Skubal when he comes off the IL

In other news, Tucker was given the day off “resting” after Dave Roberts said there were issues with his game.

The Blue Jays seem to love Jesus Sanchez.

Bregman has 5 HRs ytd. 1 less than Dubon with the same amount of hits.

If I’m Crane I’m probably happy with the way the Tucker/Bregman tenures ended. Paredes 33 RBI’s to Bregman’s 19.

Carry on…

It’s hard not to be happy when the Astros are 1 and 2 in AL RBIs.

Kyle Tucker has fewer than Teoscar Hernandez (in 10 more games). Bregman has the same number of RBIs as Christian Vazquez (in 21 more games), and he has less than Cam Smith. LOL.

Framber’s ERA is just a little better than Blubaugh’s. Lambert, Teng and Arrighetti are all significantly better.

The Blue Jays have definitely unlocked something with Sanchez - probably just told him to maybe not try to hit it 600 ft every time. His OPS is about the same as Vlad’s, which is wild (also the same as Paredes).

No to Skubal….Dana would trade Neyens and Alvarez ( Kevin) for a rental….no thanks.

If you take out the one outing where Blubaugh had to take one for the team then his ERA is around 2.

BTW, Hunter was up to 99 in his last rehab start.

They said during the broadcast yesterday that the Astros are considering having him make his next “rehab” start in the majors, keeping him to 75 pitches. That seems like the way to do it.

Burrows still sucks.

I thought it was a good move at the time. What was I thinking?

Yes, we were all duped by the “most devastating change up in the league” talk.

I knew Jacob Melton was a bust….hes played only 20 minor league games this year( dude is always hurt) and has not shown much….

.230ish with 1 HR.

Brito is the guy I hated to lose….he has closer’s stuff….

Not sure why the Rays are using him as a starter in the minors.
As a guy that is 5’10 and a buck 50 he isn’t going to be a starter IMO.

Espada needs to leave him in til it’s 9-0. You know, to give his arm a workout

I’ve seen enough of that dude - he’s my first choice to exit the rotation for Hunter’s return. Let him work long relief and spot starts if he has to stay around.

Sometimes you get a guy right when he turns. Burrows had some appeal. But the guy I see is just batting practice. There’s no respect for the guy at the plate

He just can’t get himself out of trouble during an inning. Once things start to go sideways, he just self-immolates.

Can’t win many games with only 4 hits…

and No runs.

Didn’t we only have two guys with hits last night?

10 Run curse gets them every time.

That and……when the Astros are facing someone new they give him the CY Young treatment.

It’s almost as though there is no video or scouting reports to go through before facing them.
