Nah, he’s not an a-hole.
I’m getting more of a T. Levine vibe.

If it was up to me I would’ve already fired Espada. So many bonehead moves (and non moves). As far as the lineup (and other decisions) he’s only getting away with what Mgmt is allowing him to. So far I am not impressed with Dana Brown at all.
Paging AJ Hinch, you want to remind the squad to take pitches and run the pitch count up again?
Kinda, but Bill had way too much power……the only reason I ever cut him any slack is because he had a special needs kid……I know it shouldn’t matter but I always thought how tough it must have been working on game plans when he’d probably rather be home with his son.
It takes a lot to get me to not turn on the best pro franchise in the world. But they’ve done it. This front office is rife with incompetence. SportsMap Houston guys really believe Brown is a faceplate and that Bagwell is running the operations for Crane. They think Brown only has autonomy in drafting and serves as the franchise PR Director above all else.
Or, that’s what I extrapolate from their comments.
I didn’t have to add that final comment but I wanted to use the word, “extrapolate.”
This is an interesting article on Hader, arbitration, and how he ended up signing with the Astros.
Abreu is released.
Nothing against Abreu….he was doing his best.
Father Time just hit him like a brick wall.
Well, a step in the right direction
And instead of Loperfido we have called up Hummel, a re-tread….
Cabbage and Hummel….two waiver pick ups rather than our own guy….dumb for personal reasons and even dumber for the message it sends to guys that were drafted and in the system for the team……
Work hard and you can be passed over by guys picked up off the scrap heap.
Dana sucks.
Keeping Loperfido in the minors is a puzzler.
Trade deadline is approaching which leads me to think the Astros are going to package him in a blockbuster trade.
Hope I’m wrong.
I hesitantly post. Do little homework n then check back w me on why he wasn’t called up. Key word---- CAN’T.
This may be condescending, passive aggressive… who knows or cares.
Yall should be celebrating , w Crane eating 30 mil.
If we do then Dana is an idiot….
And we just let go of Abreu and replaced his spot on the roster with a career .166 hitter….i sh-t you not.
Dude just STFU.
You cray like a baby on another thread that I keep you from posting on this board….then exile yourself for a month or whatever……
It’s been nice without you to be honest….
Then you show back up and instead of just posting you come in with your woe is me cry baby sh-t.
And yes, I know about the ten day rule and thought it had passed….if not my mistake….
But you can’t just post it, you have to say “do you homework “.
People on this board are smart enough to see you are a smarmy little instigator….
Post, don’t post….i don’t care….
But if you are gonna instigate crap and be a little weasel then just go back to your self imposed hiding….the board is better without you.
Why dont you go away… know it All. Aint nobody crying… that’s your go to always. Put me on Ignore … plenty of folks on here i can chat abt Astros w on here, you’re not one of them. You don’t need to reply.
I post how n when i want to. Gonna do like another poster says-- Get it?
Edit: ohhh… trust me , you care if I post. But i sure wish you didn’t care. You have to put your 1 cent in every poster response. Now shooo on … gooo.
Goose, he was just sent down this week, so he cant come back up to Stros till June 21.
Hope all is well Sir!
Does Abreu’s contract still count against the luxury tax for next season?
Astros owe him abt 30 mil n everything that comes w that remains in place.
Only way they can relieve themselves of this huge debt is if a Team picks him up b4 the Waiver wire period expires. Which we can agree is not going to happen.
After expiration ( 7 days i thk) of Waiver wire , any team can sign him for League minimum . The Astros would still be responsible for $$$ left on his contract.
This is why it was kind of stupid to send him down this week. This thing with Abreu isn’t some kind of surprise that just popped up.
I suspect they’re playing games with service time or something, because there’s no baseball reason to have kept Cabbage up at Loperfido’s expense.
I keep seeing this Pete Alonso story circulating, but I just don’t see it - hopefully it’s just out there because someone wants attention and not because it has legs.
I agree he shouldn’t have been sent down Coog91, but we here fans don’t know all reasons into decisions that are made, as u brought up one. It is my strong opinion that they’re very hesitant to play him at 1B at MLB level. No matter how much we as fans want it at moment, thats not where he fits for them rn imo. I’d like see him be planted in LF n Chas can go do whatever he needs to do . Jmo on that situation.
