Isn’t most every college fan’s emotional reaction to decommits is “he wasn’t good enough” or “we’ll get someone better” and for flips from P4s, “we need him” and “we just got better”.
I think it all evens out in the end.

You don’t even know if guys on the roster are staying on a game by game basis. Definitely not losing any sleep over a guy that’s not here yet.

So our recruits are lowly 3 stars, would be 5-6 on the depth chart at UT, and the only reason a big and mighty power like UT would steal a recruit from us is if they were desperate?
Obviously many Cougars loathe UT, and they aren’t going to be happy if one of our recruits ends up going there. Trying to find the logic in that is kind of silly.

I’m not obsessed with UT and don’t hate them, but I get that a lot of our fans do. And that’s not unique to UH. Aggy, Tech, Baylor, Oklahoma, etc. fans despise them as well. It is what it is, so I’m not going to berate our fans when they bad-mouth Texas.
