We all know why….

Too many people living beyond their means and having children they cant afford.

I suppose this includes a large number of non-citizen immigrants who work in a cash based society in activities such as lawn mowing, home cleaning, clean-up and construction, etc.

So say someone is making say ~$4,000/month (paid in cash) for mowing yards, what kind of government support programs can he/her &/or their significant other claim…and how are those folks reflected in the above referenced statistics?

Poverty is based on income; whether your expenditure is beyond your means or not has nothing to do with it.

I’m a minority who grew up in a poor area and had multiple siblings as my parents arrived to the USA a few years before I was born.

I lived through it and made a promise to myself to never put my future kids in the same situation.

Thankfully my UH degree got me out of it but it took some years after graduation for me to live in better suburb.
