COOGS load the bases, but can’t get a run home in the 1st.
Julks drives in 2 in the 4th with a single. COOGS lead 2-0.
Good to see Cory getting a hit there. Shutting has him batting 8th tonight to take some pressure off him.
Lockhart drives in Davis in the 5th, but Scheiner is thrown out at the plate. 3-0 Coogs
Ullom is rolling though.
I hate getting thrown out of the plate, especially with someone that doesn’t run that well. The odds of scoring a run with 2nd and 3rd, 1 out is nearly 70%.
Alabama State has a run in here in the 6th, runners on the corners and no outs. Ullom struggling a bit here, but not getting hit hard. 3-1 Coogs now
Double play! AWESOME
Yep, Hollis saved us in that inning. Don’t see many 5-4-2 doubles plays.
Ullom still rolling through the 7th Coogs still lead 3-1.
Ullom only at 78 pitches so he may be able to finish this one out.
Leadoff dong in the 8th by guess who…Jake Scheiner
4-1 Coogs
Scheiner may be over .400 now.
Fletcher on in relief after Ullom K’s the first batter in the 8th.
Ullom goes 7.1IP 5H 1ER 1R 0BB 4Ks. Another solid outing from Mitch.
Yep, 3-4 tonight puts him at .412 5 HR 20 RBI; leads the team in all three. He’s absolutely mashing right now.
Fletcher gets out of a bit of trouble in the 8th and the Coogs go to the Bottom of the 8th leading 4-1
Coogs get nothing in the 8th other than a Padgett single. Fletcher back on to close it out in the 9th.
Coogs win 4-1!!
Great pitching again and the Coogs go for the sweep tomorrow.
