The first half weather was perfect, but the second half was brutal. Maybe I am getting old, but I could not hang in there had to go under to the shade. Other than the sun, I loved it! Great win! GO Coogs!!

Was it actually true that Tate was playing hurt? I only heard the tv announcers guess at it because his ankle was taped.

That was a good game. We finally have a OC that can move the ball. I hope some of you guys that would defend the offense can see the difference a coach makes.

He came up gingerly after a play on their second series so they were just assuming it was affecting him
CKB was ready to go for It on 4th and 2 before MA called for the punt unit
first off great win. we dominated arizona until the backups came in and gave up points. i dont get why we pulled our starters that early. dont want to nitpick and take away from the win but that was a head scratcher.

Nice win great to see us go under center. Offense is impressive. First team defense was great. Not going to complain just need to learn to put them away.

I had no problem with letting depth play. I didnt like that the depth was running the ball up the middle every play for 3 and outs. Our first stringers couldn’t consistently run up the middle vs their starters so we didn’t so it every play. What made them think the 2nd string could?

Sumlin used it as an excuse at half time, said it made them totally change the game plan. Yeah, it’s called coaching! Don’t they pay him millions to do that? Tate looked fine in that 4th quarter running.

Scumlin is notorious for his excuses. We lost the CUSA Championship game because it was up to the players to motivate themselves enough to win. Meanwhile he was sneaking out the back door to atm.

I don’t think Sumlin’s heart is in it anymore. That punt in the 4th when they were down 20 with 5 minutes to go was bad. Just surrendered the game away. Reminded me of the Southern Miss game when Case waved him off; Tate should have done the same.
Don’t see Arizona going anywhere with Summie coaching.

We don’t know why the decision was made to pull the starters early, but a win is a win. We clearly can be a dominant team this season by the look of the 2nd half at Rice and the 1st half here vs Arizona.
Aside from the dropped passes and the decision to pull starters early, atleast nobody got hurt today. These guys are in full pads and helmets in 100 degree weather inside a stadium. Gotta give them credit for putting out with a nice looking score. 45-18 looks a lot better than 38-18.
Could have been 50+ but I’ll take it.

It’s just like some pro players who get the big contract and never really push as hard anymore. I feel like he is a guy who has always been in it for the money.

Oh yeah, that’s always been the case.
If he gets more accurate on those then he may be in the NFL next year… I have been super impressed by his arm.

Part of the reason has to be the heat. The TV was showing it was 130 on the field.
