Houston vs. Arizona 2018 Gameday Thread (W 45-18)

his nfl future is at wr

We shall see. I’m one who said Greg Ward had 0 chance as an NFL QB. King can make NFL throws though.

I can see King be Russel Wilson 2.0

I think he’ll have to do it again as a senior before anybody takes him seriously as an NFL QB.

Size is always the big thing in the NFL

Dont think i saw it on here. Attendance 32.5k

I’m sure part of it is the new 4 game freshmen rule. Coaches are going to be anxious to get their young guys in for the 4 games ASAP.

For regional tv ESPN showed USF vs Georgia Tech instead of Houston vs Arizona.

Wasn’t very impressed with Dormady today. Anyone else have thoughts on that? I know he handed off a lot but his few throws just hung there for the dbs to catch up, no velocity. He also didn’t seem comfortable running the offense at all. I’m gonna be worried if the worst happens.

Could be just getting used to it…King kind of looked that way last week in the first half. I agree with you on the velocity, but he did make a couple of nice throws that were dropped by the WRs.

He did have a TD dropped by Corbin I believe…perfect ball. The problem is the offense is different without Kings legs

Seem to recall that his 1st two long balls were right on the money. 1 was a D PI other was a drop or very well defended. Did not get to pay too much attention. Had to rescue the wife from the heat and move to the shade.

There were a lot of dropsies by WR. This need to get better .
Defensively, #22 keeps making plays (just make him captain rest of the season). Egbule showered up. I. Johnson was solid today.

We would complain if we were hung with a new rope.

Dormady is going to be just fine. Like mentioned, he had one very good long pass dropped. After that, the conservative play calling never really gave him a chance to get any momentum going.

From what I saw at the last couple of scrimmages, he is a very good/capable back-up to have at this point as our young qb’s develop.

Many at TN were not happy to lose him.

Warm day out there today. Maybe the starters could have stayed in the game one more series and avoided some anxious moments but you have to get the 2’s ready to play later in the season. All in all a very fun outing today and a very encouraging performance by the Coogs. Looking forward to the 7 pm kickoff in two weeks and a beat down in Lubbock next Saturday.

I was impressed with dormandy. Someone dropped one of his passes I’m not sure who. But most of the calls were running plays. I think he has a good arm.

I was thinking, as we walked out of TDECU, that we just lost any opportunity to join the Pack 12 . . . . . Maybe more of us will begin to understand why the really powerful P5’s do not want to schedule us . . . . . They do not want to schedule good teams, they want walkovers so they can claim undefeated seasons . . . . .

Not me…not at all…more like Piland or Kyle Allen to me…not suited for THIS offense.

lol what? not sure if you trolling or not. he is the perfect fit for briles’s offense. look at who briles have been recruiting this year’s class and next years. levi williams and clayton tune are both pocket passing qb’s.

That’s why Alabama plays teams like Louisville and USC OOC because they don’t want to lose.!?!?!?
I’m not buying that week argument and I’ve heard it for years. Big schools still play the likes of Appalachia State even though they beat Michigan a few years ago.
