I watched the Ball State/Notre Dame Game as well…Ball State’s small defense was stifling…their offense wasn’t as good…but the game was close. They (NBC announcers) kept stating that ND was lethargic…instead of giving props to Ball State’s defense. That is what the media want to say when we play P5s. I didn’t see anything from Mack and crew at Halftime,…unless the short time i walked away they said something for the Coogs…

because we went conservative and the wr’s dropped some passes from him. also the reason king and company went back in was because the backup defense didnt stop their offense.
Why is the debate only playing 2nd string or not? To me, the ridiculously conservative play calling when the 2nd string came in was the issue. 3 runs up the middle for a 3 and out is the problem. Even a bubble screen or 5 yard slant was too wild for our play calls during those back to back 3 and outs.

You forgot to mention that we recently played Georgia State, (Tulane in conference for God’s sake) and Fresno State has been in bowl games recently and beat us!
Well, the important thing is that we all become huge Arizona fans now. They have a relatively easy path in the Pac 12 South, as USC and UCLA are still trying to show that they’re any better, and if they can win the division and surprise UW or Stanford to take the conference, we have a great argument for taking their playoff spot. Lot of dominos still to knock over the right way, but this result sets that up.
Not a chance Arizona will make any kind of positive showing in the PAC and I hate Sumlin too much to pull for them. Let that traitor die in the desert.
