We are already seeing the effects of students who attended UH after the SWC was disbanded in the mid-1990s and up to the Briles years of the mid-2000s.
They didn’t have a good team to support and are less likely to support the team.

Good points. My take was not conveyed clearly in my message. I thought that the increased selectivity we are seeing should reap benefits in terms of later donations etc.

No sir. You did not raise my blood pressure. But the cops and wrecker drivers back in the day sure as hell did. I remember one game where my mom and dad had just pulled into their parking space. Before they could even get out of their car, a motorcycle cop, and a wrecker truck were right there. The cop told my parents they had to go into the stadium immediately or their car would be towed. This is the kind of bullshit that Cougar fans had to put up with at the Astrodome.
