The unscripted game between the Bears and the Cougars, scheduled for noon ET Saturday on Fox, is believed to be the first of its kind in the modern history of college football.
Funniest line: “How do you get to Waco?"

Pretty interesting. The Coogs are staying in College Station Friday because of lack of quality hotel space in Waco. Unreal!
Waco has a full on Hilton and a Courtyard near campus. It trails off after that. Is college Station closer by that much to Houston?
Baylor is a nice looking campus, but it’s Waco. What did you expect?
I wouldn’t be telling everyone I didn’t know where Waco was. I might have kept that piece of information to myself.
Opposite, why would anyone admit they know where Waco is?
From the article:
“A 34-year-old originally from Ohio, Dorchester quickly learned that Waco was just 190 miles to his northwest.”
Why would you expect a guy from Ohio to know where Waco is. I don’t know where all but a few cities or towns in Ohio are.
College Station is about an hour and a half from Waco. Still a bit far to me.
18 Hours ???
Took over 25 years !!!
If it was a later start, maybe they would not stay in CS. Best of luck to the Coogs and especially for your son.
Thank you! I admit I am nervous for him
That’s right…It is conveniently not mentioned…There is not a peep about the SWC years…wonder why…
Our program is always on the forefront of firsts…
Lubbock is worse than Waco. Lol
Do they have any 7-Elevens?
We should embrace how they curse and make it our own.
Why not stay in Temple, Texas?
Oh, they are taking the SH 6 route.
I second this by miles.
Good questions from the SI writer.
Lubbock - wear protection and get a shot after leaving
Waco - something in the water that messes with your mind and no cure
