They cancelled the regional due to too much rain. Apparently it wasn’t a very popular decision.
The top 6 teams seeded prior to the regional advance to the NCAA Championships so Houston’s 8th seeded team is out of luck. Karen Fredgaard does advance as an individual, but the team has its season ended unceremoniously by tournament officials.
How about moving to another location? Shorten it to two rounds maybe.
This article gives a pretty good picture of what happened. Completely bogus. Guarantee it wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t all p5 teams as top 6 seeds. Coach Chadwell very vocal!
What a bunch of crooks in that committee. So unfair to the players…
