Hotter than hot with that French acceny
It is amazing to think she retired at 38/39.
To quote Robert Earl Keen, “she’s hotter than the hinges on the gates of Hell”
Speaking of hell she’s probably enjoying it as we speak–pretty terrible person: Racist, xenophobe, and probably a few other ists and phobes.
You clearly have no clues what your are babbling about.
No, she does have a history of racist rhetoric, also homophobic rhetoric, and more. She receive many fines for it in the past. She, like many celebrities, have complicated lives. The old how do you celebrate the artist from the art. Like, how can I enjoy her movies and music, when I know that she did and said a lot of things I disagree with? Then of course she also did and said stuff I do agree with too. All of that is part of her legacy, good or bad.
You have no clues in what contexts she had these comments. You by making these statements enter the forbidden zone.
You want to have a discussion about it? Then we will enter the forbidden zone. You as a moderator have a choice to do so or not.
I go to Europe twice a year. I have fairly decent point of view on what has been going on in Europe in the last twenty years and more precisely in the last five six years. Again I will be more than happy to discuss this but again I am forbidden to do so.
I am stating a fact that she made statements that were considered homophobic, racist, etc. and actually received fines for that. I have no interest in debating the context of each and every statement, or anything of that sort.
As I said, she was a complicated person (like we all are), and as such you can celebrate one part of their life even as you condemn others. All of that is part of her legacy, and it is up to each individual to judge how they feel about her and her life, actions and words. The same could be said about any celebrity that ever said or did anything controversial.
No point in debating, if you feel one way about her and I feel another, were not going to change each other’s mind.
Also…
You have no clue what I actually know or don’t know about her and any statements she made or the context of them.
You want to have a discussion of why she was convicted?
Great let’s have it. First you have to give me the green light to so. i do not want to end up in the sin bin. Deal?
I already said I don’t want to have a discussion on it. It would be a waste of our time, we’re not going to convince each other of anything. Also, I have not stated any opinion on any statements, only stated the fact she made statements considered controversial and it is to each individual to decide how they want to consider those as part of her legacy. Beyond that, there’s nothing to discuss.
You got it dustin.

Brigitte Bardot’s death means there are now just three people mentioned in
@billyjoel ’s We Didn’t Start the Fire who are still alive.
I’ve afraid her legacy is a bit disturbing.
Islamaphobia:
Quote: In that letter, Bardot wrote: “They (Note: Muslims) slaughter women and children, our monks, our civil servants, our tourists and our sheep, one day they’ll slaughter us.”
Criticism of “Me Too”
Quote: “Lots of actresses try to play the tease with producers to get a role. And then, so we will talk about them, they say they were harassed,” she told Paris Match .
Brigitte Bardot Is Handed Her Sixth Fine for “Inciting Racial Hatred” | Vanity Fair.
She said this in reference to people from Reunion Island:
Quote: In the 2019 letter, Bardot claimed that the Réunionese slaughtered goats inhumanely, calling them “natives [who] have kept their savage genes” and “a degenerate population still soaked in barbarous ancestral traditions” that evoke the “cannibalism of past centuries,” according to Agence France-Presse.
Some other comments of hers on Reunion Island people:
Quote: Bardot described the inhabitants of the Indian Ocean island as “aboriginals who have kept the genes of savages”
You want to have a discussion on this? A real discussion? Then let’s do it offline.
No, I’d rather everything be said out in the open.
Remarks like those are hard to defend Bro.
Tough to make the case that they aren’t racist, but if you want to try, do so here so we can all listen and evaluate.
Isle de La Reunion and Brigitte Bardot:
She complained for years how people from La Reunion treat their animals. My niece is married to a gentleman from La Reunion. Although he did not like what she said he expressed that they were a lot of truth on how animals are considered on the island.
Brigitte Bardot complained for years on how Norther Africans took care of animals especially sheep and how barbaric animals were killed.
You never made the connection either on how Brigitte Bardot and many in her age group went through the pre and post Maghreb “relocation”
There are mainly five countries that have conquered the world.
Spanish
Portuguese
French
English
Italians
All of the above countries created artificial borders in Africa, South America and Asis. The big difference between some of the countries inhabitants to Europe and France in particular is that some want to assimilate and others (especially 2nd and third generations) want to destroy the country their parents or grand parents choose to emigrate to.
I love people from Cameroun, Togo, Congo but not so much from Mali or Algeria. Like it or not, deny it or not a very large number do not want to assimilate to France or other E.U. nations. This is why you have seen, especially for the last 20 years so many terrorism bombings targeting the countries institutions.
Most Christians from Africa living in Europe are fed up with some Muslims imposing shariah law all over Europe.
Bardot expressed her disdain for the French leaders and the E.U. cowards leaders.
I can sumrise it with the following:
The rise of the kebab.
Europe is at a cross road and nothing is being done about it. Someone keeps mentioning it and he is more than right. He is mentioning it because he cares.
Are you sure?
It was the MONGOLS that conquered the largest contiguous land empire in world history.
Italians?
Ehhh……no.
If you mean Romans, the Parthian and Sassanid
Empires rivaled them at the time, and the great Chinese Han Dynasty was a contemporary.
And of course, the Persian and Macedonian Empires were also huge in their time.
Odd post.
