ICYMI: Football season ticket renewals to open 12/7

In case you missed it in the post-game email, Houston Athletics announced that football season ticket renewals will open on Sunday, December 7th when our bowl game destination is announced.

If your first thought is something along the lines of ‘Dang, that’s early,’ you’re correct – We’re going to be way ahead of last year. We’re hopeful this gives fans the chance to utilize a six or seven month payment plan which opens the door for many fans to upgrade their seats. We’ll have information soon on new sales, too.

Speaking of: If you’re not a season ticket holder but interested in options for next season, holler at our team: 713-462-6647. We’re taking 2026 season ticket deposits. Individuals who place deposits will be prioritized in new sales. Our sales team can talk you through what that will look like.

Thanks to all of our season ticket holders! Excited to keep building!

Go Coogs!

This is PROMISING. Good forethought by the Athletic Department.

I’m sure prices will go up after this season, but…

…2 thoughts on that…

  1. It’ll be worth it for the fans to see this ever-improving, dynamic football team.
  2. It’s a sign things are going in the right direction and more upgrades will come to facilities.

Now…. Let’s hear what the naysayers have to say and get THAT drama over with…

Athletic Department with a good idea? That’s a shocker!

A day that will live in infamy…

Looking at our schedule for next year, I’ll be absolutely appalled if prices go up. Oregon State, Southern, Baylor, UCF, Cincy, Oklahoma State…sheesh. We might have had better schedules than that in the American.

I see a lot of home wins, which makes for a GREAT schedule.

Can we beat LSU? This would be an upset like when we beat OU in the Texas Kickoff.

Can we get out of the Georgia Southern game next year? Why we is even schedule them home and home.

I mean, when we scheduled them, we were an AAC team and they were consistently near the top of the Sun Belt. But yeah, that’s a dud now.

What are doing calling upsets for a game 2 years away? LSU better figure it out or Houston is gonna kick their butt in 2 years with the way we’re building things

Please no more ticket price discounts. Has discouraged numerous season holders in the past into discontinuing their season tickets.

Still offer mini-plans, but keep the per ticket cost above that of season tickets. You could allow parking as well.

It doesn’t matter what the price of season tickets are, our core fanbase is too small compared to other Big 12 schools.
The last thing we want is for the athletic department to milk the existing small fanbase.

I have both football and basketball season tickets so many of us are stretched.

I’ve said this before, but I don’t work for the marketing department. We should be giving away seats and red tshirts in the 300 level.

This isnt about milking. It is about holding the value of season tickets and having the consumer understand the value of admission. It prevents you from limiting revenue to the department.

You and I both know we need all of the revenue we can get.

Price discounts are nowhere near as much of an issue as the fact that secondary market tickets sell at below face value most of the time. Next year will likely be particularly bad in that regard.

Let the secondary market do their thing.

But you dont want folks waiting on a discount to be released in order to buy tickets.

You have to find a price to where it is good enough to retain and increase season ticket holders but don’t want to raise prices too high to a point where you will lose members.

UH football has always been a wait and see mode with the fanbase.

We don’t need a dome, but maybe a giant sunshade and better amenities for the folks in the upper deck would go a long way toward selling out more games?

Just sayin”…
