Most people just assume they’ll take their Family and Friends to a giant theme park, stay in a nice hotel, ride the rides, spend a ton of money, and navigate the crowd of thousands to carve out some good times and some memories, but…
Some folks decide that the best memories are created by taking a different route and avoiding the “Carousels” altogether and instead, take their Family and Friends to the Vacation Home. You know, the place where you gather everyone around for good food, hunting, fishing, boating, and hikes through the woods.
Both are places you can go to every year, however, the theme parks are crowded and there’s only so many seats on the roller coasters, and the thrills are Short-lived. Whereas the Vacation home is a place you can enjoy one another’s company and create real, lasting memories.
I came up with this analogy thinking that Lane Kiffen is telling everyone he’ll be waiting at the front of the line on the worlds largest, fastest, giga-coaster (which isn’t built yet), and expecting his family and friends to see him there.
Meanwhile, Willie Fritz, and his Family, are preparing their Vacation home for their extended family and friends to come out and stay for as long as they like, while they set the expectation that the folks they invite will make a habit of coming back, year after year, and establish traditions that last a lifetime.
Oh, and all the football games will be on the big screen, in the living room, with the fireplace roaring, and everyone is eating barbecue….
Ps. For the record, I have nothing against roller coasters…
