Given your first four points, what OC is going to be successful?
We can’t afford to have this mentality. Support the program.
I hope Fritz works out but if he does not, we need to find a way to gently tell Tilman we don’t need him to be part of the new HC search committee. Like talking the car keys away from Grandpa.
We should be earning full Big 12 checks by then so we can pay for the new coach with the Power 4 revenue.
I’m also patiently waiting for out new AD to unleash his “outside the box” marketing and NIL campaign.
Crickets on Cullen…
I don’t know if he’ll take kindly to that…
Seeing as our budget is pretty low that moment, he may be waiting for the Big 12 $ to kick in before really thinking of brainstorming some ideas.
I blame the bad atmosphere on fans not showing up. Houston as a city acts privileged with their sports teams. The fans don’t fully show out unless they believe a championship is in order (i.e. the current lack of support for good Rockets and decent Texans). If fans showed up to the majority of games it would enhance the atmosphere directly, entice recruits, and make national relevancy easier as networks take notice of the brand (revenue) behind Houston Cougar football.
Lack of enough good wrs is the problem. If we had golden tate or the wr that Texas bought then we could be bowl eligible bc the qb needs to read defenses and wrs need separation.
Can we let the head coach make the f decision? I am a season ticket holder not because of some coach. So, stfu, with these kind of bs threats. If we are not letting head coach make personnel decision and rather make fans make the decision then handover the team to f fans and let’s see how many games we win.
I’m highly skeptical of Barbay, but I will renew my season tickets.
This was a rebuilding year, and I’ve liked some of the things I’ve seen so far (especially on the defensive side of the ball). To bail on my alma mater’s team just because I don’t like the OC would be rather
.
We have no say in how the program is run, clearly.
The question is simple; if barbay is back are you renewing as a season ticket holder or just buying them on the secondary market or just prior to football games?
I’ve been a season ticket holder for 23 years- I’ve seen some of the best of times and certainly a lot of the unacceptable.
In all honesty, applewhite, Holgo almost did me in… Not ashamed to admit it…
Lived through Dimel as a student and 0-11… those late 90’s to 2002 almost shut athletics down if I recall correctly.
thanks for replying directly to the question asked! GOCOOGS!
Appreciate your honesty!
I’m there no matter what.
Been through Helton, Dimel, Clancy Barone, John Skladany, Mike Nesbitt, Travis Bush, Major Applewhite, Mark D’Onofrio, Dana Holgorsen, Shannon Dawson, Doug (4th and) Belk, and now Barbay.
My Cougar Pride is stronger than all of them. Ain’t skeered.
I’ll always renew but if he is here next season it will be a huge red flag on CWF ability to lead this team to a good season next year.
I’m on the Fritz train. He’s won everywhere he’s been but he also hasn’t been in a league this big, against schools with more resources, or had to deal with NIL really.
This offseason will be a real tell on the future of the program under Fritz.
Its not a hard decision for me to renew my season tickets…i beilieve in willie and I have no doubt he will get us in the cfp sooner than later
We are hosting Tech, TCU and Coach Prime next season. I’m gonna call BS on these threats of not renewing
There is a reason why Barbay only lasts a year everywhere he has been (exception central Michigan). If he gets another year under Fritz then it’s on Fritz to f up the second year.
I still think we have momentum with recruiting and Fritz can bring in really good players from the portal this year. if Barbay is back and offense sucks so will recruiting next year.
To ans your question. If Barbay comes back, I’ll buy tix but will try to sell them. Not spending my Saturdays pist off. Rather spend quality time with my 7 and 9 year old.
Who knows if he’ll still be in boulder
He is gonna be in Houston facing UH ![]()
