Too bad that whoever made that video was so ignorant of US Navy uniforms because none of them were from our navy. Even the one with the flag on the sleeve had the flag in the wrong direction. The US flag always have the star field facing forward on either side if anu US military uniform.
I know I’m picky here, but that’s the way some of us Squids are about our navy.

with age comes perspective. i was happy i was an army vet. spent some time on central america, was prepped for a fight in the gulf war but it was over before our unit got there; but if i had my time to do my service again; i woulda gone navy. no promises that you get good tours in naval assigments but the chance to spend some time out on the oceans visiting some ports you’ll never see in the other services; makes the navy the best service to go to.
Plus almost all of our bases are beaches…
I did both, ill take my 13mos in the box vs ever stepping a foot onboard a boat

you may be right. i spent some time in the jungles in central america, no picnic. my grandfather watched japan sign the peace treaty not bad at all but he was an officer, had better digs than most navy pukes. so i may have a biased view of the navy from him.
As I have said before, that Navy life is too….dang…CLAUSTROPHOBIC!!!
Imagine living in a tube underwater for weeks.
That would drive me NUTS!!!
If you want a military career out on the water, then you should join either the Coast Guard (even more beach oriented than the Navy, and has additional really cool maritime law enforcement and search and rescue missions), ….OR THIS….which is probably the single coolest job in uniform with military rank that our nation has!!!

You get to save the whales, chase hurricanes, save coral reefs, etc., all with military pay, benefits, retirement, etc.
