That sucks. I was looking forward to seeing him develop some this year but didn’t see him getting meaningful PT
Praying for a speedy recovery

And make sure you ask why the S&T coach isn’t doing something to prevent broken bones and ankle injuries…

They need to practice wrapped in bubble wrap.

assuming healthy from the rest (praying) doesnt impact us if at all… he barely played with francis not even playing in the scrimmage… and its obvious he might get pushed around vs some opponennts

its actually opens to the door for lath to get minutes who could be used for more situational advantages, instead of going by the hierarchy

but this could be an issue if any of our top 3 bigs are injured … lath is a situational use strength play vs like an a omier or dickinson, or if a team is bullying us with strength… he is not a replacement, he lacks length or bounce…mcfarland is better suited to replace the big 3 if one went out.

hope we get word that he can come back at some point during the season

Don’t broken bones take about 6 weeks to heal? I know he will need to get some strength back in that leg once he gets out of the cast. He should be good sometime around mid-January, right?

He might be out for a bit.

Not really.
It is J’Wan/Francis, Tugler and small ball, the same as it was before.

Hoping for a great recovery.

Depends on how bad it was. He had surgery which suggests it was bad-ish however they could have just done it to have him heal quicker. I broke my foot in college which didn’t require surgery and it was 4 weeks in a boot and then another 2 to strengthen it. Probably about 2 months before I was back to feeling comfortable. So yeah, he’ll be out for a bit but there’s nothing to suggest he couldn’t be back in a Jan-Feb timeframe.

Most likely fibula–small plate and screws–he will be out, physically incapable, most of the year-- will not be back this year but will use this year as a medical redshirt year.

Fibula injuries dont take a year to heal and are often managed non-operatively in us regular folk
