And I certainly wouldn’t either…my whole point is that UH alums are not known for giving, that we probably rank close to the very bottom amongst other major conference schools.
I do agree that winning is the only way we are going to up the donations. We want to be like UT and agy and the other biggies, but we simply don’t have the financial clout at this moment.
We have won in the past when cash was being handled under the table, so there is hope we can get local businesses to help out…but then again, they want some return on their money…and that means winning and winning big like Sampson has done for givers like Mattress Mac and Fertitta…

I think it’s being over-analyzed. I think he was doing what every coach that was ever hired has done. He was talking sh%% at a press conference and wanting out of there to go back to work. The same as you or I would do.
