Iām guessing an email went out with this invite? Par for the course didnāt get anything, and weāve given money to the program over the last 10-15 years. No wonder half our programās NIL money is provided by someone who is not an alumā¦they dont reach out to ask us for anything and we are willing.
Hey CL - I sent you a private message but wanted to offer here, too. Please shoot me a reply or email me (jwmason2@uh.edu) with your account information so I can take a look. Iāve been away from the office but it was my understanding that email was going to be delivered to Dugout Club members from this year and last year. If you were omitted from that incorrectly, I want to make sure I can fix it on our side.
Opened with a declaration of faith, which I respect. I wouldnt say coach is polished, by any means, but he does come across as sincere when he talks about how you treat people. Interesting that he said the team wouldnāt have a style of play, although perhaps he didnāt want to give anything away. He strikes me as a guy who wants to build bridges but is uncomfortable with the politics.
Funniest and least necessary part of his speech was is shout-out to Whitting and his expressed desire to build off the āsuccessā he had here.
Seems like a level-headed, humble guy who knows heāll have to work hard every day to succeed.

It appears to me Davis is going to try to build relationships with the 98-2006 generation of Coog players who remember what it was like when UH was a power.
He didnāt say āIām the man and I know how to build a program.ā His angle was UH is a great opportunity and he wants to build on past success. So, Im thinking he wants to open the door to welcoming former Coogs to help with creating a buzz and perhaps connect with the fans who remember those days.
Listening to the UGA radio broadcast. Their coach is in year 3 and won 50 and is in Omaha. These guys are talking about how the coach made an effort to bring back the former players who were part of past success as a way of showing his kids what UGA baseball is all about.
Im hopeful thatās an example of what CWD is going to try to do. I think itās a key to turning things around.
If the results are there, the money will be there and more success will follow. If the results are like they were, then weāll be hiring another coach in 3 years.
People arenāt going to throw their money at this dude just because he showed up here from Lamar.
