I received a text message a few moments ago from Linking Coogs and submitted my information. I started an LLC for DJing this week and created my company on Google business. I also had several hundred business cards made this week. I don’t do social media anymore so we’ll see if I can get this done without social media.

Last night, Houston Athletics hosted the Inaugural NIL Summit in conjunction with our Official NIL Partner, Linking Coogs.
As the collegiate athletics landscape continues to evolve, Houston Athletics is committed to positioning our programs for sustained success in the era of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). This event provided an opportunity for supporters, business leaders, and stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of how Houston Athletics and Linking Coogs are working together to create opportunities for our student-athletes while remaining competitive at the highest level. The NIL era has allowed student-athletes to have the opportunity to receive compensation from third parties using their personal brand, often referred to as their name, image, and likeness.
Per the House v. NCAA settlement that was implemented beginning July 1, 2025, Houston Athletics may provide direct compensation to student-athletes through a revenue sharing model. This compensation is subject to an annual cap and distributed at the university’s discretion in accordance with applicable rules and policies.
During the evening, we discussed:
- The difference between Revenue Sharing and NIL
- Linking Coogs’ role in supporting Houston Athletics roster management
- B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer) opportunities
- Direct partnership opportunities with Houston student-athletes
Cougar Pride is leading the charge in acquiring the resources needed for Houston Athletics to operate at the top of the Revenue Sharing Cap.
