If you let them in and they do something that is (be)cause and effect. Let’s hope nothing happens so no excuses will be needed.
I hope are recovering from the terrible fires, if I remember, you or some close to you had some loss.

You got that history totally wrong.
The Iran-Iraq War was started by Iraq, under the leadership of Saddam Hussein, with a military invasion of Iran on September 22, 1980. Iraq’s invasion was motivated by a desire to capitalize on the perceived instability of Iran’s new Islamic revolutionary government and to assert dominance in the region.
And American was part of tye ongoing war
Yes, the United States did supply weapons to both Iran and Iraq during the Iran-Iraq War. While officially maintaining neutrality, the U.S. engaged in covert arms deals and provided support to both sides of the conflict, a situation that became known as the Iran-Contra affair.
And they let the contras move cocaine into inner-cities in America to fund these two proxy wars…
Its simple.
Iran needs to agree to 2 very specific things, and any future bloodshed can be prevented
Otherwise, we really have no choice but to bomb their facilities even if they never reach weapons grade
Ohh like the Obama deal
It’s really not that much different than the current administration
So we had to attack to get back to the deal Obama had in place. Brilliant
I do agree the war we had against iraq was worthless and they never had weapons of mass destruction and it cost us about 4 trillion in debt. George bush jr simply had an agenda. That war was totally the wrong war and after 911 we should have simply targeted radical leaders like when barrack Obama targeted them and got a hit. I think we learned from that to just go after the true targets vs nation building. Maybe the Iranians didn’t start the war with iraq but Iran isn’t a good player in that region now. They are a problem. I know our CIA etc has overthrown governments due to special business interests but regardless iran needs to give up the nukes. The world seems to allow certain nations with nuclear capacity to exist but Iran and some others aren’t responsible players.
The main reason the Iraq war seemed like a waste of money in hindsight was because of the Shale revolution really.
The WMD thing was always a farse, everyone knows the that. The real reason behind the invasion of Iraq was to try and institute regime change mainly to open up their oil fields to the free market.
However, during the Iraq invasion, the shale revolution had yet to take place, so we primarily relied on oil exploration in the gulf all the while what is now OPEC had much control over oil prices. Shale revolution of 07-08 essentially allowed the US control over global oil prices.
So yes in that regard, Iraq was a waste of money
What do you suggest we do?
Allow them to keep developing their nuclear program?
Why does America get to decide who has nukes. Why does Isreal get have an unknown amount of nukes. Why does Pakistan get to have them?
If i was a nation, I would want nukes for my own safety. Its a deterrent to armed aggression against my nation.
Why shouldn’t we?
Israel is an extension of the United States’ own interest and military
Iran sponsors terrorism. That alone is enough reason to not allow them to possess weapons-grade nuclear power.
Except without 24 day lead times on inspections…
It’s a tough call on why we let certain nations have nukes but it’s prob like which are responsible enough to have them. France has them along with some other nations. Iran does have a policy of wanting Israel blown off the map so it’s a non starter which is the difference. It boils down to responsible nations as to whether we allow it or not. If Iran was to get rid of their radical regime then it might be ok for example.
Pakistan, the nation that habored Osama Bin Laden had nukes. So… sure
So, are you suggesting we let Iran, a country where “Death to America” is chanted, to develop nukes?
My opinion is the world as a whole has it in their best interests to not let any nations develop nukes that don’t already have them…
Nukes are one of tge worst inventions in the history of mankind.
Cue Oliver North.
Pakistan was an ally during the Cold War, and their nuclear ambitions preceded 9/11
Bit more complicated than that but that’s it essentially
Iran has been building their program post-9/11
Its no secret that we gave Pakistan nuclear ability to deter India from engaging in a conventional war.
