Is Elon Musk losing his mind?

How about you reading the republican led Senate Intelligence Committee report on Russian influence in the 2016 election, which included criminal Manafort sharing political polling data with Russian intelligence operative Kilimnik and Trump family members meeting with Russians to discuss aspects of Russian adoptions cough, cough.

The republican led committee concluded that the Trump campaign “associated” with Russian officials.while the Russians interfered with the election

“Collusion” is an irrelevant word in regard to cooperating with foreign governments in domestic elections.

Despite Mueller’s unwillingness to charge Trump re the Trump Tower meeting, the SIC cited it as another example (others included in the report not cited here) of association with the Russians. Trump admitted to the meetings purpose.

It helps to rely on valid, reliable sources and not media outlets proved in court to be spewers of lies and distortion.

Oh yes. You mean the one what was overly moderated and had a ton of do not amplifies happen?

Publice square with free speech my butt. But thats expected from a propaganda rag,Politico.

Moderated speech is not free speech.

The censoring/deamplifying hasn’t stopped. Still happening just looks different based on the moderator.

Also, amplifying the ceo’s speech isn’t exactly free speech either.

You can say whatever you want. However
in my store I can run it as I see fit. Just like
Elon is doing now. Only trouble is it’s not a profitable model.

Sounds like what you want is the government sets up a public service that
anyone can say anything on with ZERO
moderation. Is that what you want to pay for with your tax dollars ?

Be honest here. You don’t like moderation because some of the bad elements, with views you like, got nailed for misinformation, lies, and fermenting hate.

Nearly everyone wants moderation. They just want their moderation and call that free speech.

Yes, that’s better stated. Or my side good;
your side bad.

Find it odd people still confusing for profit businesses that provide posting services and confuse that with free speech.

My post is about that propaganda rags drawing wanting the old “public square” back. twitter was never a public square. It was a moderated forum, not a public square.

And I compared that to today.

That said, we keep some stuff out of the public square in real life too.

Speak for yourself.

Free speech is moderatation free.

“Nearly everyone” is not speaking for you. I was intentional in my wording.

That’s a ridiculous statement. Do we need to give you examples of why it is ?

So you really are advocating for a public forum service that is not moderated at all ?

Lol its actually worse in real life. People are not afraid to be racist publicly or to call street preacher names ect.

The public is barely moderated.

Some aren’t but mostly people don’t do that. They also don’t walk around (mostly) without clothes on or yelling fire.

Disorderly conduct can get you arrested.

Its called manners, some have zero.

Free speech means just that.

And Twitter/x under Elon is not moderation fee.

I would say it is worse online because you can do it anonymously and without risk of getting punched in the face.

Free speech means having no manners?

A community may not suppress, or the State tax, the dissemination of views because they are unpopular, annoying, or distasteful. P. 319 U. S. 116.

I don’t believe community in this context doesn’t apply to a privately held company.

Even though free speech means free speech, it always gotta go to the supreme court.

In not sure if the whole corp thing has made it to the SC yet.

Also known as media that reports truthful things you don’t like.

Media haven’t been asking for the old public square back…they been pointing out Musk’s hypocrisy for claiming he took over Twitter to enable free speech and then curtails it to suit his every whim. They’ve also pointed out the effect on it’s revenue and valuation for letting obvious nazi groups, russian propaganda and other shite on the site flourish.

He’s made Twitter a sludge pit and he’s losing billions on it. Not the moves one would expect out of someone who has been so successful in the past.

It is the sign of someone ‘losing his mind’ though…which is the reason for this thread.

Damn…he’s got more in common with Truth Social lately than any successful business…
