I think this is the most hyped home game at TDECU stadium since we hosted Lamar Jackson and #5 Louisville in 2016. This will be our first ever home rank on rank matchup in our big 12 history. The stakes are high and the game is nationally televised while being in primetime. Can anyone think of a more recent hyped matchup we had at home? I remember the tech game last year but we knew we were heavy underdogs in that game going in.

The Louisville game was great because of the result and the crowd but this game has way more stakes to it. If we’re talking home games at TDECU, only the Memphis game in 2015 really has the same feel.

It’s the first top 20 match up in the history of the stadium. We have a team that’s good enough to make the playoffs and every game from here on out is a must win. How do you not feel the hype?

Against a VERY GOOD, ranked conference foe.
The tickets are selling, hard to tell (and who REALLY cares) whether they’re Coog Fans or Okie Dokie Cow-Pokies.
The bottom line is it looks to be headed toward being the best attended game in quite a while.
So we should ALL be hyped about it.

It matters a lot. The last thing we want is for them to outnumber UH at home. Fortunately, I don’t think that will be the case.
Coog Fans will not be outnumbered.
So my point is…
…having a large (capacity?) crowd is the focus…
…not whether or not it’s 5k, 8k, or 10k Cow Pokes.
I think they’ll bring 6 or 7k at most.

Definitely. And it certainly felt like a home game, or at least, that’s how it felt to me when I was there.
But I think that may have officially been considered a neutral site game.
I’d put Tech last season and our UT game under Holgy as the most hyped up recent true home games.

The OU game was awesome. I’d say the crowd was fairly split. Probably 65-35 UH to OU fans. Ofc by the 4th quarter the crowd noise was 95-5 in favor of UH lol

The horns said that they’d outnumber us and that didn’t happen. UH Atmosphere was great.
Ok Lite will not outnumber the horns who came to TDECU.
