Is this true? If so, then SHAME on the B1G!

Here’s the thing though.

In 2026, we do not appear to have a power conference game on the schedule, UNLESS you count Oregon State as a sort of “legacy” power.

Texas Tech is in the same boat next season re: Oregon State.

Last year, 13 BIG teams played P4s in nc games, including schools like Texas, Notre Dame and Alabama. If a couple of schools dont want to, …well? Rutgers really struggles to win games, so its understandable with them. Now no excuse for Penn State not to have a P4…but last year they didnt. CMON! Old rivals Syracuse and Pitt would play them anytime, anywhere…

We do not comply with this rule.

As I said, UNLESS we count Oregon State as a sort of “legacy” power school.

I guess we’ll start complying in 2027.

Factoid of the day: UH and Oregon State announced their home-and-home series on April 16, 2024. Six days later, the Pac-12 announced it would lose its Autonomy Status.

So the ACC and SEC are going to 9 conference games? That’s a pretty big deal if that happens. They were only required to play 8 this season which caused a huge problem in the SEC with too many teams at the top.

Yes, although the ACC is going to 9 games for some and 8 games for others, since you can’t play a full 9-game schedule with 17 teams.

62 different athletic directors just called northwestern, wake forest, vanderbilt and SMU!

Oregon State is not a legacy power 4 school. Lol.

Neither is Tulane…or Temple…or USF

They have been demoted and don’t count

Bro we got demoted for almost three decades, and we spent the whole time telling everyone they were being bastards, let’s not become that guy within three years

And we were never counted, or respected as a “legacy” P5 school…we were laughed at for trying to get back into that club

we had to work our way back up the hard way

I got that they were demoted, but as TAMU91 pointed out, at the time the were scheduled, they were still in the power game.

“Legacy” power team.

Because everyone was being bastards to us. No excuse to do that to anyone else. We know how bad it sucks to be on the wrong side of it.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, because you’ll see them again on your way down.

Oregon State was a member of the PAC for a hundred years…They played in a few Rose Bowls in their day. They were a P5 school when we scheduled them. They helped rebuild the PAC and turn it into a viable conference again. They deserve everyone’s respect.

I’m of this mindset. The more the merrier. Let everyone have their chance to get in the ring and throw haymakers. It’s good for sport and it’s a more American thing to do. Give the g5 a chance to produce a couple more hotshot programs like it did for us and UCF and Cincy.

That’s some funny math…OSU & WSU had an exodus of P4 talent the second it became aware they were cstaways.

Nunez claiming OSU as our P4 opponent is weak and lazy…especially when games ate rescheduled and especially since we will be a playoff contender next year and the year after…SOS definitely matters for At-Large bids.

No “Real” P4 OOC opponents is non bueno

Still doesn’t account for a current squad with “G” level talent
