J’Wan Roberts OUT?

Correct it wasn’t remotely like an ACL, MCL or Achilles.
Looking at his reaction looked a bit like the patellar tendon.

If you watch the whole presser it gives a little more context. CKS was making a point about this being a new team. He first listed the names of all the players that were available against UCF last year that are not this year, including Arceneaux. He then referenced the injuries this year, adding that in the second half they “lost” J’Wan and (still did not have) Arceneaux.

He was simply making a comparison to last year, not trying to say J’Wan was out for the year. In fact, when he was asked about the severity of Roberts’ knee directly, CKS said he hadn’t checked yet.

Roberts is dealing with the same knee issue he’s been dealing with all season. It is and will be ongoing.

We will be lucky for him to make it through the season, hopefully he can rest it intermittently and finish the season strong

Roberts appears to have a chronic knee injury. I’m sure CKS will limit his minutes and Athletic Trainer Extraordinaire John Houston will decide the best treatments for his injury.

Guys, I saw Francis on the bench with a back brace. Is he done for the year?!?!

Really !!

Francis looks so much more assertive rebounding the ball. He now has that attitude “that’s my ball and ain’t no one taking it from me!”6
And his time and spacing to block shot is getting real good

Sampson said that Walker was a sub at the 4 position.

Our Big Men thus are Roberts, Francis, Tugler, and Walker.

Not the best we ever have had. But perhaps more than adequate.

Walker is 6’3 right? So he ain’t a big he just subs as a 4 in the small ball lineup

John Houston will probably decide something like this:

If it was me, I’d go the “wax the car, paint the fence” route.

Walker might not be super tall but he can get some rebounds.

Ramon is listed at 6’4"

Rebounding is hustle, desire, and boxing out.

You definitely can outrebound a taller opponent. These are High School 101 traits, and part of our Sampson coaching techniques.

Ramon was mixing it with UCF bigs yesterday. He stood his ground. He might be the closest stretch 4 we have this year cuz teams daring him to shoot. Man, I missed Fabian!!

Yea Fabian cured many issues that we have now.

I didn’t say that was the injury. Just looked scary as it happened.

Close the thread we don’t need negative vibes lol
