Some just know more than others. No other way to put it simply. Rather accepted or not is a different story. First it’s mid to late second, now possibly mid to late first round. After all the blah blah talk, he will be playing starter NBA minutes. Like what Stroud said “don’t be stupid”.
Probably one the best representatives to ever wear the UH jersey. That said, he could be a first rounder in a John Stockton, Steve Nash or shorter Jason Kidd mold. He will bring energy and winning to a team that has good scores but lack a true PG to distribute the rock. Denver got beat last night on pure hustle. That would not happen with Shead on the team, he makes everyone better. It will be tough as a rookie, but his hustle and winning attitude is contagious.

Read the latest ESPN mock draft and came across this quote in particular
Tyler Kolek, PG, Marquette | Age: 23.1
Kolek, who is ranked No. 29 in ESPN’s Top 100, has drawn serious looks from teams that are selecting higher than this in the first round. He has experience, playmaking savvy and intense competitiveness that could provide a pathway into backup point guard minutes early in his pro career. He’s likely not going to offer a ton defensively, where he’s limited because of his size (6-3, 190 pounds) and athletic ability, but he’s also not going to take plays off or want for effort.
That mentality will likely be attractive to the Knicks and coach Tom Thibodeau if they opt to keep one or both of these picks. – Woo
After reading this, New Knicks, you 100% take Jamal Shead at #25. I didn’t watch a ton of Marquette, but I felt like this is the point where Jamal fits on that list.
