Follow-up on the reactor restarts. Looks like seismic data was faked on 2 reactors
at another site.

Yes, but unfortunately it does damage to public trust in nuclear when safety data
is faked. What other data is faked ? Think that was a premise in the old
“China Syndrome” movie from long time ago about pipe weld x-rays being faked. Facts following fiction ?
This is on the cusp of happening in the US, given there is an effort to lower or remove regulatory safety standards in order to speed up Nuclear/SMR construction

I’d rather safety data be accurate, but if they are going to fake it, I want them to get caught before it’s too late.
Removing regulations isn’t the same as faking safety data to meet regulations. However both could have the same disastrous results.
