Talking UH Athletics today for about 12 minutes before Pro Day starts:
- Starts off walking through the Alumni Center showing off the workout facilities
- Catches Greg Ward walking and getting prepared
- Also shows the rest of the guys stretching and prepping
- Haven’t heard anything about new commits
- Have one commitment for 2018 - JD isn’t up to date on recruiting
- Jokes that he wishes he could lose one pound a minute like the players can and do it 50 times a day
- No sure thing at RB. Catalon’s been injury-prone and no clear #2
- Linebacker has spots to fill
- Secondary, especially corner is a question mark
- Will Kyle Allen be the guy?
- No guarantee that Winchester is a starter at CB. Isaiah Johnson had a good scrimmage the other day and there’s a number of guys competing.
- Khalil Williams may be moving to Brandon Wilson’s spot
- Chronicle only goes with the Basbeall America poll for baseball.
- Told there are mroe scouts here than last year, shows a number of them. Also shows some CFL scouts. (All 32 teams were represented for the NFL including 7 positional coaches)
- Today is a job interview
- Wishes he could wear shorts and tennis shoes and run outside for a job interview
