“We are the anti-college basketball 2025,” Nantz said. “We actually care about our school, we care about one another and we care about winning. They believe in their coach, and they’re not playing selfishly. They’re not trying to impress some scout or worry about going in the portal and making a ton of money somewhere else.”
The best cougar ever!!!
Jim gave the best “explanation” to anybody that is curious about our program.
CKS personifies that hard work, dedication to a goal, a team goal WORKS.
Think about how the CKS “approach” can work for everybody be a company, teachers, professors looking at studying what “works”
That unselfishness translates into memories that will last a lifetime. That unselfishness translates into personal bonds that will last a lifetime.
CKS is building leaders and more importantly great human beings.
Some schools will “buy” a player for a year. Some schools decide to “mold” teenager into men/women. Either way you can attain the pinnacle but something tells me that CKS is truly changing lives. In that alone CKS is a game changer, a life changer.
Had the pleasure of shaking his hands in Indy last week. Very gracious man. Loved him and Bill Worrell. 2 of the greatest Coogs of all time.
Nantz’ interview on the Dan Patrick show yesterday, was excellent
I wish he still did the Final Four.
I imagine he’ll be close enough to some microphone if/when Sampson cuts down the nets on Monday night.
(no, I’m not superstitious).
Great ambassador for UH. I don’t think there’s a bigger Coog fan around. I remember seeing him at a game during one of Clyde’s forgetful years.
Jim changes his plans at the last minute from doing pre Masters this weekend for ESPN because his UH Cougars are in the Final Four. He changed plans to Monday, but did not say if they will change again if UH reaches Final game on Monday. Said he is set to call Masters until 2036 the 100 years anniversary.
Probably already posted but Jim’s thoughts after the UT win with local anchor
