I think so as well. Based on what Nate posted, I think that’s why Dedan didn’t enter the portal. Sounds like he was planning to enter the portal if Shead left for the NBA, but things changed. That would be a good reason to stay put at UNLV.
Side note: I would still like to see a back up PG such as Milos, regardless of what Shead decides to do. I don’t know how the staff makes room on the roster, but I think it’s a big gamble to only have one PG on the team playing heavy minutes. Just as we saw against Duke, the importance of having a high-quality PG (in case someone gets injured) is as critical to making a deep run at the title.
The comment was that Mylik hit a three pointer in the game and he thought it was the first time he has seen him make one, including practice. He then leaned over towards JWan and asked if he had seen him make a three in practice. To his credit he did get much better down the stretch with more PT.
I’m just listing the players potentially in the mix for next season.

I would love to have Mylick back one more year…the fact that he improved so much when we needed him down the stretch showed me the kid can play. Not a great shooter but he hustles, rebounds and can really get off the ground.
He will get playing time and will continue to grow as a leader off the bench. He is a gritty kid and I think coach loves his defensive game.
Remember, not everyone on the bench is going to be a star. Wilson gives us minutes and senior leadership as we push to win that coveted title…
