Redden is out of Ranger College and will be a junior when he arrives next year. Redden is a catcher who hit .313 in 39 games with 2 homers 16 RBIs and 19 SB. He caught 7 of 30 runners on the basepaths.
Redden attended St. Thomas High School in Houston.
7/30 is not good at all…
Hah…no, it isn’t. He was a little better this year as he was 13 for 35 in catching runners. It’ll be interesting to see if he continues to catch with Houston as we have Slaughter and Bartlett returning and another catcher coming in (Kyle Lovelace). Redden did play 3rd and pitch in high school, but he’s been a catcher exclusively in JUCO.
He can hit though as he again hit over .300 (.337) with 2 HR and 30 RBIs while walking more than he K’d (18 to 13). He was with Angelina College this year.

I was thinking that he probably wouldn’t catch for us, but we can always make room for a hitter.
