He also had a hitting WAR of around 2 which is crazy for a pitcher that elite.
Greg Maddux was born in San Angelo on April 14, 1966. Maddux helped the Atlanta Braves win the World Series in 1995 and is considered one of the greatest pitchers of all time.
Maybe he was great in the 1990s, but would he make a MLB roster today with his 88 mph fastball? 
He threw harder than that unless you’re talking about later in his career.
It would be interesting to see him today. Hard to compare eras though.
With modern nutrition programs he’d probably throw 98 mph anyway lol.
He had the most amazing command. He used the full expanded zone of the day but he was a wizard.

Yeah, he’d have to adjust his bag of tricks with the new ABS. Wouldn’t get those ridiculous strikes called 9" outside.
