Did you actually look at it. A third of Arizona’s win’s were from over 70 years ago. The last 70, Az St has a notable advantage. If you scroll down and look at the category comparisons, Arizona wins 0 categories over Az St, who win 9 categories.
Phuc-a-duck.
Oregon and Washington would be Prima Donnas who don’t even have the clout to be worthy of it. We HAVETO undo the damage done by Bowelsby and make nice with ESPN. Hard to believe that the American can have a better relationship vs the Big 12. Once we do that and show the Corners the numbers, they’ll fall in line along with everyone else.
Grab the four corners, roll the two northwest, pick what we want from the rest of the west.
Unless something else emerges as a faster path to yes, anything other than that is overthinking it and I fear overplaying our hand
They have been told that they are not taking them. Only ND and Stanford will be invited.
They’re hoping that’s just for now. The rest of the Pac-12 fears it’s for now.
The more secure those two are, the more solvent the Pac-12 is likely to be .

They have been told that they are not taking them. Only ND and Stanford will be invited.

This is just for a fast way to kill the PAC. It forces the others to move. And UO and UW can move anytime they want.
Killing the pac to our detriment is not a plus.
I believe your premise is flawed but I do believe things will work out to your preference.
This is a dumb move!!! Why add someone who is just looking to move eventually. Pac 12 is just going to get weaker in due time. USC & UCLA are all but gone.
Everybody’s looking to move eventually. Some just have a better chance at it than others…
No idea if this Dan Patrick video has been shared in one of the 100 realignment threads but it just came across my news feed because there was a UCF opinion article about the prospect of UCF to the SEC…
Not sure why the SEC would take UCF if you already have Florida, Florida State, and Miami (in his scenario) to own Florida but you don’t take a UH or a Texas Tech to dominate Texas along with UT and A&M.

Ucf isn’t going to the sec
I don’t think so either. The logic made no sense to me. Cincinnati to the SEC makes more sense than UCF to the SEC. It gives the SEC games in Ohio every year. (but I don’t think they have a shot either…just a slightly better chance than UH and UCF)
This is croc ****. I don’t think everyone. You’re telling me Bama looking to leave the SEC. Or that Houston is seeking a way to leave the Big 12 already.
Difference is UO & UW haven’t made it a secret that they are looking to go to the B10 and have one foot out of the door if you add them unless you get some sort of guaranteed on paper. At the end of the day they’ll just weakened your conference by leaving like Louisville did the American.
No thanks unless they’re 100% percent in.
Just add the 4 corner schools and let them stay in the Pac for the next few years and become the new MWC while they wait for their B10 conference invite.
I meant everyone in the Big 12. I was originally thinking “everyone outside the top two” but then realized those MAC schools actually seem kind of happy together.
I think not having Louisville after the first year hurt the AAC compared to having them, but Louisville being there for a year and then gone was a net gain if anything as it gave the incoming teams a shot at them. I don’t think the nB12 will be worse for having UT and OU for a year or two, as long as they don’t dominate the conference.
There are definitely limits to the degree of bad attitude that I want (ditto Utah)and would suss that out during the interview process, but there isn’t a team in this conference that doesn’t want to be in the SEC or Big Ten (and maybe a couple the ACC). Until the day of the USC/UCLA announcement we had folks saying we should accept an invite to the Pac-12.
Dan’s take makes zero sense.
The SEC is adding Florida State, Miami AND UCF to the SEC to join Florida???
No way!
The only reason i think UCF is even mentioned is to pressure Florida State to make a move.
The SEC in Florida will ONLY include Florida State and Florida…nobody else.
The B1G and SEC are both at 16…they want to get to 20 each.
This is the list of possible candidates…the ONLY list…they each take 4.
- Florida State
- Clemson
- Virginia
- Virginia Tech
- Notre Dame
- Oregon
- Washington
- Stanford
- Kansas
- North Carolina
I’m thinking the B1G heads West and adds Oregon +Washington + Stanford and finally convinces Notre Dame !
The SEC adds Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina, and Virginia.
The Big12/ACC/PAC then forms a third 20 school conference…but it is yet to be determined which conference will be in charge of this realignment. If it is the Big12…we are IN!
If it is the PAC or ACC…or a brand new Conference (similar to how the Big 12 was formed) we will.have to fight for our lives!
I’ve said it a million times…just like with our Big East invite…A LOT will have changed before we play our FIRST game in our new conference.
Yes…UH would leave for the B1G or SEC in a heartbeat…we probably have feelers our for even a 1% chance this could even be a remote possibility.
UCF is doing the same.
There is a huge chance we could get left out of this 3rd Power Conference…depending on how the pieces fall
UCF is not getting into the SEC over Florida State.
As for UH to the SEC, saying we’d jump if we had the chance is meaningless if that “chance” is implausible. As long as UT and aTm are in the SEC, UH to the SEC is as implausible as UCF to the SEC.
And until we are AAU, UH to the B1G is implausible as well.
