Anyone know the price of tickets for big 12 tourney thru UH? Also, which reseller has the lowest fees ? HELP, please
UH doesn’t have access to Tourney tiks. I purchased through BIG12 Site which will have link to Tourney tiks, info. etc.
That’s your best bet imo. They still have fee to ea ticket but that’s for everyone now days I guess. The good part is you can change them through their customer serv 800# like we did, when we saw seats in an area available we like better as it got closer to Tourney week.
Thank you. I googled Big 12 and I ended up at Seat Geek as the official Ticket Marketplace . . . . . I also looked at Vivid and Go. Thinking about only purchasing 3 sessions. Some days, SS does not stretch very far.
I purchased every session ( like 8 ) sold as 1 pkg for Tourney, which is pretty much all they they offer in beginning.
But its already almost March, so see what they have t9 offer.
You can easily sell individual sessions ( 2 gms) through the site if you’re not planning to attend say Wed mid-day gms.
Easy to list them on site as everything is connected. They’ll sell.
If you don’t see what you want through Stubhub, wait n look at
T-MobileCenter.com. That’s where the Conf works through n sells ( AVS) the tickets. Right now only the Women’s CT individual sessions are available on site rt now. The Mens CT only has All Sessions pass rt now. If you wait abt 7-10 days they’ll put the individual Sessions through the T-Mobile site. We had already purchased the All inclusive full sessions but iirc the individual session pricing wasn’t too bad once made available. But they’re gonna try sale Full sessions pkg at first.
Good luck. We had great time & great atmosphere w the Power Light District rt in front of T-Mobile Center. Music, Restaurants, bars etc
A group of us were there last year, also. The bar-b-que there in the Power Light District was not all that good. (We had it back when we were there representing the AAC.) We dined in some taco restaurant close by, then in a hotel restaurant a couple of blocks away. Last, we had early evening (happy hour) in a big restaurant resembling TGIFridays. Food was excellent.
Yea, we had bbq twice (away from Power District ) at one of the well known bbq establishment in KC. It was very good.
Edit: Say hello to all our ISU friends.
BarBQue we had was at what is now called County Road Ice House. Don’t remember that name, but the pic online looks like it.
Can’t remember mine either. It was very popular one for KC, had like 3 locations. Very good but def at top end of expensive for BBQ.
We ended up, on one trip, to go to one where we had to pass under an elevated rail line. The wait was like 2 hours so we boogied over to another location, less industrial and more residential. More like a fancy steak house that also served bbq. I remember (i think) about some onion rings piled very high. Good food, but nothing like any Texas bbq restaurant I’ve ever been to. It came highly recommended.
Just to get the important info out there, my order preference of KC BBQ (so far) is: Jack Stack, Gates, and then Arthur Bryant’s, but I’m always open to debate and food samples.
Last year, the top 6 seeds in the Big 12 tourney were
1 Houston
2 Iowa St
3 Baylor
4 Texas Tech
5 BYU
6 Kansas
Looks to be those 6 + Arizona at the top again this year. As a 1 seed, Houston is likely to get TCU again in the round of 8.
I lived in KC for 5 years. Joe’s (formerly Oklahoma Joe’s) and Jack Stack are the only ones really worth while. Jack Stack is my absolute favorite. There’s a place called Burnt End BBQ that’s also decent but it’s more comparable to a Rudy’s concept, Jack Stack is kind of a nice restaurant
Yes, i was abt to respond to the other poster when he listed Jack Stack. That’s where we went, while at BIG12 CT. IT was very good imo. Went to 2nd one but don’t have much recollection on that one so…
Yeah, I forgot that Q39 is also good. I was going to tell you some places to avoid but in looking it up, it seems like most of the bad ones closed down. I’ve heard bad things about Arthur Bryant’s but never been myself.
Yes, this would be Jack Stack. Unfortunately every location usually has a pretty hefty wait. The Plaza is the same, always packed. The Lees Summit and Overland Park locations are ones with the least wait usually. Martin City is the original and used to be super small and cramped but I heard they expanded a few years ago so it might have less of a wait, it’s kind of off the beaten path though and pretty far from downtown. Maybe if you’re used to Houston it’s not too bad
We went to the Jack Stack by the train station. Honestly barely remember the food, I vaguely remember thinking it was good not great. Only thing I vividly remember is the Miami fan in there gloating.
We all liked it but it wasn’t amazing. Bartender was good. Space was cool.
