CW is in a slump right now but he’s still significantly better than any of the back ups we have and him throwing the ball is still more productive than our run game. Just gotta hope he finds his groove again before these last two games. Big difference between 8-4 and 10-2.
8-2 says otherwise
Just win, baby. I couldn’t care less how.
Its the Ann Richards effect. Every Coog should hold deep contempt for Baylor in their hearts. Add Art Briles to the fire and they’re just a peg below TU for me.
Like my dad said, Weigman is in a slump like a pitcher. Hopefully he finds his strikezone back quick.
At least he can go get us 6 or 7 innings of 4 or 5 run baseball now.
Just remember Coogs , Baylor was part of the SWC snub, took Coach Briles and our vaunted RB recruit RGIII . Enough is Enough !
Go Coogs…destroy those stinking Bears !
QBs throw picks sometimes but hopefully the pick 6s can end! Lol

He can’t throw another one where they’re sitting on the curl route to Koziol…
He was Big 12 player of the week for both Zona and ASU after the concussion. He has not been the same player since last week against WVU.
CW is a Winner…
His struggles started when Fritz decided to run him less. When CW is a threat to run, it opens up a lot more of the offense. I think it also helps him get into a rhythm better.
We didn’t run him much in the WVU game. We started the UCF game with not running him. The offense and CW’s passing started to click more when he was a threat in the running game.
Also hat tip to the OL. Somebody lit a fire under them after the first quarter.
I had the same thought
That was a dominant performance by our offensive line on our last drive. The bad snap really hurt us and completely changed our 2nd and 3rd down play calling
We are very lucky to have Weigman. He is a gamer and that is possibly the most important thing at QB. He has very nice arm talent that shows up several times a game to vary our offensive approach enough to keep the defense guessing a bit. No chance we are anywhere near 8-2 without him. No chance. Let’s appreciate what we got.
I said it last night CW has some NFL Baker Mayfield in him. We have to take the good with the bad. Hes gonna sling it into holes sometimes that will upset us. I think he was fortunate to not get picked more in early games, now that karma is coming back. Good coaching can keep his confidence up while getting more cautious if we need to. That’s what we saw last night.
At least CW (and team) is 2-1 during his “slump”.
Less Baker Mayfield and more Jameis Winston the last couple of games.
He has been under duress a lot this year when he drops back…more than any other QB in the country.
The pick six he was under a ton of pressure and threw a panic ball.
On the others he threw to the wrong side of the receiver. And the last was an under throw.
But most time defenders have been bearing down on him. As the OL and running game improve this will change.
It happened against TxTech
