Hurley will find a way to complain about this

Man have we come far in the last ten years

Well yeah complaining is Hurley’s natural state. Any perceived slight is noted. But in this case if he got mad about this I get it, he has as good a case as anyone. If he has gotten it over Sampson I wouldn’t be mad about it.

I will say Otz not making the top line at all is a huge slight though.

Sampson authored one of the great coaching jobs off all time.

Wish we were playing this weekend.

I’m glad CKS was recognized for the job he did. I’m sure there are other deserving coaches but get a good laugh at Hurley’s incessant b!tching. The whole delayed flight to final four probably has him near emotional breakdown. No one has had a delayed flight before. The world’s just out to get him

He’s a guy who perpetually needs a chip on his shoulder. If he was 5’6" it would make a lot more sense. But sometimes that’s what people need to stay motivated.

Hurley smart playing us against the world card. Rodney Dangerfield of MBB nobody respects us.

What Sampson did in the wake of those injuries was nothing short of remarkable. Lose your best player with more than half the game left against Duke…and still almost win the game? Only with great coaching and players that are the embodiment of Sampson’s culture does that happen.

3rd time in UH history.

In reality, Sampson resurrected a program that had been in deep slumber for over three decades. Hurley inherited a program that had already been built by Jim Calhoun and driven a little off path by Kevin Ollie. If he’s being slighted by not winning Coach of the Year over a chance at a national title, that’s his ego problem. Sampson would exchange an infinite amount of Coach of the Year accolades for a Final Four spot with a healthy squad

2 decades, Foster did a good job and had good players and teams at UH, just no postseason success. But yes, 1994-2014 were the height of irrelevancy

Thought this was pretty cool:
