Kesean Carter

I was scrolling through the transfer portal today and noticed we are listed as the favorite to land WR Kesean Carter it makes sense as hes obviously from Houston, and we as well as Dana recruited him out of HS. Played HS at the woodlands and spent two years at TTU. He played in all 12 games in 2018 and 2019 before getting hurt this year. Tech people thought he was gonna have a breakout year. Watching his highschool film this kid is special. World class speed who also runs track and was a former junior olympian. Feels like a homerun and a huge way to soften the blow of losing speedy (im not saying he is as good as marquez. Just pointing out there is a large hole to fill there as we saw in the bowl game and throughout the year.)

His junior highlights are just as incredible. Hes turning 6A corners and safeties like they are JV players.

We just got a CB transfer from Tech who played at Lamar HS

Yes, Alex Hogan, who started at CB for Tech, though I didn’t realize he decided on UH. Good to hear. Carter was Tech’s second leading receiver and very fast, so hopefully he’ll commit as well.

Carter & Hogan are said to be ours, which I’m excited about. There are others out there, I’m sure we will get a few more even through the spring

I know we are hot after Carter

I have no evidence to support this, and its probably just a fantasy, but I would love to see us land Deondrick glass. The OSU running back from katy is in the transfer portal. He was one year behind Kyle Porter, and its a very similar situation. Got to a big school and quickly got buried on the depth chart. Watched him in HS and he was extremely talented.

As far as I know, neither Carter or Hogan has committed to UH; however, TOS has UH as being favored to get them both.

Jalen Curry from St. Pius X is transferring from AZ. I don’t know if we are looking to add more transfer WR’s if we land Carter . I guess it might depend on what Corbin plans to do too

https://247sports.com/Season/2021-Football/TransferPortal/ Look under CBs & WRs

He’ll probably follow Gunnell to Memphis

Sounds logical

Alex Hogan scored five times on special teams at Lamar High School on either kickoff or punt returns.

with what seems like 5 million QBs transferring, i do NOT understand why CDH wont try and find a good dual action QB…There is NO REASON not to do it, NONE!

Other than the fact he doesn’t want a dual ā€œactionā€ QB. I doubt Dana wants to abandon what he and the staff have been trying to instill the lady 2 years in order to adapt his offense around a dual ā€œactionā€ transfer QB.

Kopp

End of story

Dont act like Kopp is ready to be our QB next year, because he wont be…2022 at earliest, maybe 2023…We need help NOW. CDH doesnt think so?? Then we disagree!!!

Why wouldnt he?? It sure as hell never bothered him at WVU…Both Grier and Howard were fine dual action QBs at West Virginia! It makes your offense better when you have a good running threat at QB in ANY offense…

I mean to say there is no reason not to is ridiculous. You dont have to agree, but bringing in a brand new qb means he has to learn the offense, built chemistry and work on timing with wrs in a very short window, when you have a guy in tune who is going into year 3 in this system. Again you don’t have to agree its the right decision, but chill out drama queen

I think Tune runs pretty good even though he isn’t a dual action QB, the majority of dual action QB are in a rpo type of offense

Tune needs to stay in the pocket and step up in the pocket as he is looking for the open receiver even if he has to take a couple of big hits while delivering the ball in the process.

He moves fairly well but he abuses his mobility by getting flushed out of the pocket and taking terrible 5+ yard sacks or by getting flushed out of the pocket too early and having to throw the ball away. Step up in the pocket and deliver the football.
