Hey, thankfully we spend time discussing greats from the past. Overshadowed by the likes of Warren McVea, Robert Newhouse and Alois Blackwell stands Kimball Anders, who was a terrific running back for us, and who played seemingly Forever for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Is he coaching somewhere ?
Thanks
Head coach at Ball HS in Galveston…his old HS…last I heard.
Hey, thanks for the info…glad to hear he is still in football. He was a special player !
His versatility and receiving ability kept him in the pros for a nice career. He was a fullback that didn’t carry the ball a lot, but could block with the best of them. He was with the Chiefs from 1991-2000, 10 years is a long time to play in the NFL.
Went from our first Run N Shoot S-Back to a slot receiver when Spoon emerged to an NFL FB.
Pretty spectacular career.
Again, thanks guys. He was really great, but he is rarely mentioned enough. Just thought we should give him a little richly deserved praise.
