Kingston Flemings

Saw Mr. Flemings at the Miss. State exhibition and let me say, he is a beast. Runs the point, dives after loose balls and can score. Of the newcomers CKS played, and he played a bunch of them. Kingston stood out. He and Cenac started. Chris played better in the 2nd half.

I was very impressed with this young man—his poise, passing, and penetration skills stand out. I’m excited to see him grow into his role as the year progresses.

Tried to tell you guys….KF is a killer on the court.

I am hoping to see Chase let loose and Mercy to take the next step.

Flemings has all the intangibles including leadership, his handles, decision making, driving and laying out assists. I think if he stays here a couple of years he will develop a 3 point shot. Whether or not he does I couldn’t have been happier that he signed with coach Sampson and our Coogs…

Butch, he has a better long ball than people think….i have seen the kid play in person several times over the last few years….hes not Sharp or Sasser or even Milos….but its not bad.

And those missed free throws in the scrimmage were the exception to the rule….he has a nice stroke from the line….atleast 70%

He’s explosive and stops or starts on a dime. Did not look or act like a freshman. Not at all intimidated or in awe of anyone.

+1 Northerncoog. I left the Miss St game thinking, KF, as a true FR, is a DUDE…a bad azz DUDE. I doubt he stays at UH for four years like Jamal Shead, but if he did, he will be the best PG ever at Houston. He’s got all the skills at a high level right now. He’s quick, fast, tenacious, his basketball IQ is off the charts, and he’s already got the defensive game/rotations down. He’s got that Sampson love for defense. He’s in your hip pocket for 94-feet. He’s all over the court. I think he has already earned the trust of CKS and his teammates. UH will have the most fierce backcourt in college basketball.

When the switch flips for Cenac, watch out. That’s another DUDE. He’s all MAN. JoJo Tuggler and Chris Cenac will give UH an All-Man front court. Not too many teams will want anything to do with Tuggler and Cenac.

With KF, Uzan, Tuggler, and Cenac, how can you not get excited? I never though UH would replace Jamal Shead. Hello to Kingston Flemings.

Stopping on a dime in basketball is not good on the ankles. Hopefully his ankles are very flexible.

Extremely impressed with Kingston Flemings.

Chris Cenac came out of his shell in the second half and dominated for a stretch.

Harwell didn’t get much chance to shine in the second half, but he did have a sweet stroke on that long jumper.

I think we’ll be REALLY happy with all three as the team begins to mesh. There was a lot of rust to knock off of the team as a whole, but there’s great talent there.

I haven’t been this excited after seeing a PG recruit since Rob Williams!

Yes and don’t forget Damon Jones…

If anyone has forgotten about Damon Jones, I think they’ve just gotten a big reminder in an unfortunate way…

Young folks have no idea what a talent Rob Williams was.

Without question the best to ever play here.
I have said it before, Kingston is our best point guard recruit since Rob.

Anyone who saw the Rob Williams half court behind the back alley oop pass to Clyde Drexler for a dunk will never forget it.

If you could combine Rob’'s talent with Shead’s grit and basketball IQ, you’d have the perfect player

I know you have never played the game or you would not make a comment like that….Rolling ankles is part of the game….

Stopping and cutting quickly happen constantly in basketball….im trying to picture the look on CKS’s face if you made that comment to him in person.

Williams was one of those guys who took over games and won them by himself.

Rob was the catalyst that spawned PSJ. The Coogs had a few mediocre seasons in a row. A couple of .500 type seasons finishing up the 70’s… Guy had started bringing in lots of juco players like Ralph Hamilton, Abe Davis, Marshall Sauls, Larry Rodgers, Daryle Brown, Victor Ewing…

Rob Williams was the phenom from Milby High School in Houston, When he signed with UH in 1979 along with Larry Micheaux and 6’ 11 David Bunce it started Houston High School recruits Staying home again, The next year Michael Young, Clyde Drexler. Then Reid Gettys, Eric Dickens, Gary Orsak and a couple out of staters ( Hakeem Alajuwon, and Benny Anders.
