Kingston Flemings

huge difference of him getting sniped by byu or tech in the portal vs him getting drafted in the first round lol

We’ll circle back to your ridiculous statement at season’s end…:rofl::rofl:

My statement that a couple of games at the beginning of the season doesn’t make a Top 5 draft pick? OK, sure - let’s revisit that.

That’s all I’ve said. Sorry that’s triggering, but I guarantee you Sampson would tell you exactly the same thing if you ask him today if Kingston is getting drafted.

Yes… let’s revisit then…

Some of us have an eye for talent and some of us just have eyes…

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Of course you realize I’m just teasing you at this point…

He could jump out of the gym long before he got to Houston or Bishop.

My bet is Fleming has way more games like this than ones that make us think he went into witness protection.

Well sure - he’s a better player with a higher ceiling.

While a lot of people were in here theorizing about the lineup and where he would fit in the rotation, I was saying I thought he would start along with Uzan and that Uzan might end up playing a slightly different role.

Granted, this is all happening sooner than I expected - looking forward to seeing the progression on the road against better opponents.

I’ve never seen a young player like that come in and be so fundamentally solid. Big fan after 3 games and an exhibition.

His court vision and passing accuracy are off the charts for someone so new to the college game. His passes, even cross court, hit shooters perfectly in their shooting positions. Add in his athleticism and ability to attack the paint and even @Pollardsvision may have been underselling Flemings.

And sell popcorn in the stands during time outs!!!

Opposing teams are going to have to specifically scheme to stop him, which is pretty wild for a dude playing his first games out of high school.

Reinjured his achilles… he dressed for the game last night but wasn’t expected to play

Man, that sucks. Have to wonder if he’ll ever fully recover from that…

I remember Demeco Ryans blew his out and then still had a lot of good years in the NFL…

But you never know…

And some people just heal better…

I tore the ligament that holds your tibia and fibula together in my right ankle and it would swell up after long runs or being on the beach for years after…

If evaluating a players talent level is looking at how many points they scored then sure, it’s possible Flemings will have off nights shooting the ball as a freshman. On the other hand if you’re looking at the overall talent level there’s really no comparison to TA… or anyone else on the team. His passing and ability to see the whole floor, the way he manages the team as a leader, ability to get to the rack whenever he wants, overall athleticism, defensive tenacity, and confidence are exceptional.

Let’s not go back to this thread every time he doesn’t score 20+ points or commits a few turnovers. That’s a given for anyone, not just a true freshman.

The kid is remarkedly talented and I’m glad we got the chance to see him play. Looks to be already taking over the team.

I have known kids that played against him and said he was good, but that was HS this is B12.

Oh, I’m quite sure when he has a couple of bad games the posters with no clue will throw rocks from the sidelines….but I’ll just consider the source.

I can’t wait until his ā€œthree point shootingā€ drops below 40% and then I read ā€œsee this is why I was concerned ā€œ :joy:
