Koby Young Is Key to Houston 2026

Koby Young is key to Houston making the playoff. I have been reading writers and others in the Houston area who has no idea as to what Houston has and the explosiveness and talent of Young. You can use him all over the field and he has shown that when given the opportunity he can make huge plays. His stats are underrated. Check them out and compare the number of targets = Catch the crucial conversions and the level of coverage he demands from defensive coordinators.

He’s certainly ONE key component, together with several other top players.

I remember him getting lots of pass interferences called on the defense

Defenses make the decision to hold him because of his speed and his ability for yards after the catch. He received offers from every SEC, Big10, Big12 and ACC school in college football and programs have been trying to get him from Houston but his commitment to this program is solid. If Conner gets the ball in his hands Conner will be a first round draft pick going into the NFL Koby is being watched by most national scouts and media networks his ability will bring attention to this program around the country.

Koby is still young and will certainly get his chance this year.
I’m very excited for Koby because he is not only a talented football player but great human being who comes from a great and supportive family.
Can’t wait to watch him continue to grow as a Coog!

Koby is part of a receiving core that has me excited. I hope Koby has a good TD dance.

Yeah but that’s okay….its good to be able to brag on your kid or family member….not everyday you have a family member playing D-1 ball.

I wasn’t really able to say anything about my kid back when he was playing because it was for a “hated” school :sunglasses:

I’m ready for Koby to explode this year. LFG!

Koby burned a lot of dudes last year and would have had several TDs if not for the constant PIs from defenders

Here’s last year’s interview with Parker. Still timely; good place to share it and welcome Toris.

New respect for Parker with those Etonics back there behind his head!

Hearing Parker and Koby talk about Coach Hester (in the present tense) with such praise, got me thinking about the respect these coaches and players truly have for one another.

Excited to see Koby break out this Fall…

Yes. It is his pops. And Koby is a very good player that can be the difference between a good season and one of our best ever. A top 3 of Thomas, Walker, and Young (if Koby hits his potential) would mean we have 3 NFL receivers playing heavy snaps for us this season.

…with a QB who can put the ball on target and a line that will give him time to throw the ball.

What a concept…

Personally i wouldn’t sleep on Muizz….i have a feeling he is going to breakout this year.

I remember Young’s first catch of the season against Texas Tech last year. Tech totally mugged Koby, flags thrown, and Koby still came down with the catch.

EDIT: I originally said it was Koby’s first career catch. Evidently, he had two catches in 2024. I don’t remember those. This play is the one where I first noticed Koby.
