āThatās what I think a good marriage is about,ā he says. āHaving someone on your team thatās always going to be on your team. Thereās always going to be fans out there yelling and screaming and booing and saying a lot of other not nice thingsā¦To have someone to come home to thatās on my team and might even make me waffles when we donāt win is good to have.ā
Case on Dan Patrick
Case hopes Herman stays.
Caseās attitude, demeanor has been very commendable. Just think on the number of jerks that we watch/see week after week. That speaks volume of the person that he is. Greg Ward is much younger but I also appreciate the way he responds to the questions/interviewer.
This is from todayās press conference. Check at 2:40. I liked the last question. You will too.
Love, Case. Honestly, it frustrates me the Rams drafted Goff because I think the fans would come around on Case a lot faster if Goff wasnāt there (not to mention the better line and skill players that they might have).
Sorry I was a bit late on these.
Case was very good and completely off his game. That is the concerning feel that I get from this game. He missed two clear opportunities that should have resulted either in TDās or massive gain. Most of the game he was āsurgicalā and making good decisions. At one point he made 15 consecutive throws. He made some great throws that again resulted in big gains but no TDās. That was the difference today. The Rams defense was missing three starters and greatly contributed to the way the Bills ran the ball all day. His connection to Tavon Austin is not there. When the Rams put some much emphasis on Austin catching the ball it needs to happen. In his defense I will add that Austin is still very suspect when the plays are being run. I was at the game against the Cardinals and I saw today the same miss-communication between the two. Tavonās āpublicā comments are not accidental. That does not bode well for Case. You have the Gurley/Austin on one side and the rest of the offense on the other it seems. The first int was a great defensive play but again Case canāt make that decision. The second is meaningless but again he missed Gurley that had a clear 20/25 yards in front of him. Case has to take the next step and have a very solid game against the Lions. Palmer, Wilson or the āestablishedā QBās have a bad game? The press does not dwell on it. Case has a sub-par or bad game and the entire press is calling for his job. Thatās the nature of the insanity that is the NFL press. I will add more when possible.
I agree with this. I will add they need to be a little more creative in the red zone. Also not once did they run a play to throw the ball to the end zone. And they never tried the long ball again after Case overthrew the pass to Quick.
Case is very bright and he will get it. 15 passes in a row does not happen by chance or mistake. He is getting there but time is never on his side.
GO CASE!!!
His first pick went for 6. The second one was on 4th down and didnāt matter.
Agree, Gurleyās fumble was huge too. In this last two games Case played as a solid starter. His stats reflects it. Those three miss reads makes him viewed as a back up. He has no margin for error like most starter do. Boras, OC has to be more inventive/creative. Being predictable is one thing but as an OC he should always be proactive. I sense it is a struggle for him. Otherwise how do you explain the same plays ran over an over almost as if they are sequential? Am I wrong? Then why does it appears as such to so many? Boras has only started to involve Gurley as a āslot receiverā on a consistent basis in the last two games. That should have been a huge point in the off season. Was it? It does not look that way. During the last few press conferences Boras was asked about Gurley in that role. He replied that āwe started to incorporate thatā I could not believe it. Case or not, every offense has to use the best out of their athletes. Now Boras has to trust Case. Case is the starter so he does. Case throws 15 consecutive passes? Just imagine if all of a sudden he is throwing 15 passes with a no huddle. That is where Boras has to do some thinking. I can tell you first hand that the Coliseum is a cauldron in the September/October months. Buffalo is not downtown Los Angeles. A no huddle should be a given. Bottom line Case has to produce regardless of what all of us think. I am convinced he will.
GO CASE!!!
Not much to report these last few days.
Locker room is closed to the media. Fisher is making a point there. More to follow.
Appologies if articles tend to say the same or even repeat themselves. It does happen that some writers will work for multiples newspapers. In some cases these newspapers are owned by the same parent company.
Note that Cooper was the receiver targeted than ended up as a pick six. He was inactive todayā¦read between the tea leaves.
Check out therams.com website for press conferences and video coverage. You will be able to catch Fisher and Casesās comments. Fisher is actually very good with the pressā¦so is Case. It is not often that you see/watch an honest answer or not hide from difficult questions.
Case Keenum is a Better Quarterback Than Brock Osweiler: The $72 Million Truth Hurts, But Lamar Miller Can Save the Day
Keenumās home city team would be much better off if it had just kept him and given him a real chance to develop as their starter. For all the good OāBrienās done as a head coach, this personnel blunder may hold the franchise back. Just think about the additional difference maker (or difference makers) the Texans could have added for that $72 million if their starting quarterback was a reasonably priced Case Keenum.
