Idk. I’m disappointed that we lost but I wouldn’t say we played bad. Playing bad is getting your ass kicked by 20 points. The fact is, we lost two games in OT to teams that will likely make a deep run in the tournament this year.
Look, we miss Jamal big-time, but I think the team can still be really good. Maybe not F4 good, but good enough to make the tournament and get to the second round. Remember, Alabama went to the F4 last year after losing 12 games in the regular season.
I honestly think our team can get better if Mercy gets more PT to take over Wilson’s minutes as the backup PG. He’s a kid that not only can score but handle the ball by bringing it up the court and driving lanes to find open players. Right now there’s not one single player that can do that other than Uzan, and that’s not his strength either.
I think it’s just a matter of time before Mercy learns how to play defense at a level that satisfies Sampson. When he does that, he’ll start playing more minutes.

Uzan just plain and simple is not a PG. This is where we miss Jamal very badly. Without someone with the leadership and playmaking like Jamal, we wont go anywhere. Uzan is bad at both of those.
