glad the Texas Bowl is at 8:15 on Saturday, as I’ll be driving back from San Antonio. guess I’ll be seeing purple and whatever shade of red you call USC while walking around San Antonio for Christmas

Agree… just cancelled my hotel reservation for SA… it would have been a more prestigous ranked oppenent. We have to beat LSU! Do not want to lose to some crappy middle of the road SEC team.

Yah we get to play a 7-5 team that fired their coach.
I live in San Antonio and would have loved the Alamo Bowl vs USC.
Didn’t happen….boo f-kin’ hoo.
It’s LSU in Houston, I’ll be there.
And as far as not having a head coach who gives a sh-t….there are multiple teams in the CFP who are playing with lame duck coaches or not their original HC.

The A&M game was the only one they got their a$$es whipped….the others they played playoff teams within a TD.

Lost to Oklahoma by 4
Who knows what will happen…
All five of those losses are to teams in the top 14 of the playoff rankings. We lost to WVU and TCU. This is a great matchup.

USC QB has the #1 QBR in the country.
I ain’t afraid of nobody. But it would’ve been a tough matchup vs USC

there will be a LOT of LSU fans at this game. I golfed with my buddy who’s wife’s entire family are LSU alum and they were all hoping it would be the Texas Bowl.

I know, I bet we are a 6.5 dog and if we win, of course we did we were 9-3 and ranked and they are a 7-5 team that fired their coach, and if they win it will be the power of the SEC.
I am fine with the match up.
I would have been fine if the Alamo Bowl selected BYU, but they did not they picked passed us selected an unranked TCU, they chose to NOT have a top 25 match up so they would not have to deal with our fanbase, and TCU does not travel exceptionally well. Which means we will NEVER get the Alamo Bowl. EVER. And everything that came out this morning was ISU dropping out helped us which means the Texas Bowl wanted ISU (or TCU, Alamo may have slotted ISU) and not the 9-3 Cougars. Just something to think about.
