The other guy has us vs OU in Texas Bowl.
Memphis is my favorite because of Elvis and Graceland, but Fort Worth and Shreveport are good, too. Hanging out with alums and eating barbecue is the best. Go Coogs!
I was always a big Elvis fan and I’ve been to Graceland but thought it overrated and decorated in 50s tacky. But I like Beale St. and the blues bands.
Mike I like blues too, as heard at Preservation Hall in Nawlins. Food is not bad either .
Go Coogs !
Somewhere easy to get to would be good especially during the holidays with everything going on. But that Pop Tart Bowl would be Cool.
My order of preference of bowls
When I was in high school in Baton Rouge, my buddies and I would drive over to New Orleans and hit the French Quarter. We would go over to Preservation Hall and usually just listen outside the window with drinks in hand. Sometimes we would actually throw a buck in the box and go grab a seat on the bench, which at that time was just a 2" X 12" board supported by coke boxes (the wooden 24 bottle ones).
Honestly the pop tarts bowl or Texas bow would be my choice. I’d even be willing to take the Alamo bowl too.
The Alamo Bowl features two (2) Big 12 teams against each other due to conference realignment, as was the case with the recent 2024 game between BYU and Colorado.
It’s been too long since we’ve been in a bowl so I’ll be happy with any bowl. I prefer Pop Tart Bowl and Texas bowl. But the only bowl I would really be annoyed at is the Indy bowl.
I’d take another crack at Tech in San Antonio if it came down to it.
I’m just happy we’re going bowling. The standard is the standard RN.
Gimme the Texas Bowl. Mizzou or OU. Or perhaps ut.
Other than freezing my butt off, I enjoyed the Independence Bowl.
These are bowls with B12 tie ins after the CFP teams are selected.

My preference is
I don’t think I can make the trip to any others.
Valero Alamo Bowl - San Antonio, Texas
Saturday, December 27, 2025
Pop-Tarts Bowl - Orlando, Fla.
Saturday, December 27, 2025
Kinder’s Texas Bowl - Houston, Texas
Friday, January 2, 2026
AutoZone Liberty Bowl - Memphis, Tenn.
Friday, December 26, 2025
Rate Bowl - Phoenix, Ariz.
Tuesday, December 30, 2025
Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl - Shreveport, La.
TBD
Consider me greedy, but my preference would be the Texas Bowl or any other bowl with a higher payout. It’s more money for the conference and higher profile for UH.
Could UH be college football’s comeback team of the year?
The good thing is they are listing 2 B12 teams in this article in the CFP.
