Lightning Poll - Should B12 and ACC Ban Players Who Sign NFL or NBA Contracts?

What’s your Vector Victor? Do you have clearance Clarence?

The Boomer\Geezer in me voted yes, CFB should be for college amateur athletes.

The reality in me says; what the heck, no, they are all semi pro minor leaguers anyway so what difference does it make. Signing cut 6 year NFL veterans will probably be next.

Oh wait, aTm just added a 3 year NBA G league guy to their roster. We’re already there. Pass out the hand baskets.

They just moved the goal post and changed to 5-5. Now they are eligible to come back and play.

You posters are funny. Love the Airplane movie references.

if we wanted to establish a strict upper bound, the feds will only give you aid for 150% of the required credits for your degree, which would be six years at the assumed 30 credit hours/year for most schools.

I wouldn’t call someone getting 6 or 7 figures to play football a SEMI-pro.

Those guys getting that kind of money are pros (think pre-NFL rookie salary haha). Most are not getting anything like that, many just moving every year from team to team “trying to find a home.” Those aren’t student athletes.

I have not seen this multi milloins of dollars of UH players promoting things. Public info so please provide

Yawn. You have stupid responses down pat. Keep up the good work.
